Hi, I read that you can get 10g/hour with gathering. Can someone show me how to do it? Like the route, any tool or tips? what are profitable things to gather?

I don’t know if it gives better mining results apart from the sprocket drop, but according to my quick math you’d need more than 5000 sprockets to break even on the gold you spend on the pick itself. I don’t know how small the “small chance to drop a sprocket” is, but maybe there are easier ways to get gold

I don’t think you can get 10g/h but I might of course be mistaken.
As to profitable things to gather: chili peppers (they sell for about 30s on the TP). They can be found on lower lever Ascalon maps – unfortunately you can’t really “farm” them because its a RNG drop from “herb seedlings”, “herb sprouts” etc.

I used to get 40-50 sprockets a day doing my usual tour of malchor’s leap (hitting every mithril node) I don’t run that route anymore though, so I don’t know if the amount of sprockets would be the same.

As for 10g an hour, I assume it would be done running a map like sparkfly fen, with lots of platinum nodes.

Those armadillos would be a lot cooler if they looked more like real armadillos. mmm armadillos

Thanks for the info about the sprocket yield.
As to the 10g/h – while you’d probably gather other stuff as well, assuming you’d try it with only platinum would still require you to gather more than 500 platinum per hour. I don’t think that’s possible. People tend to boast a bit about how much gold they make so I guess we have to take that number with a grain of salt.

Edit: I might help using a map with both platinum and seasoned wood…

Mithril is not worth to be taken I think. I can vouch for watchwork mining pick, it will be worth as time goes on. Does it give faster mining time? I feel that way, not sure if it’s only my imagination.

Can someone tell me the lucrative commodity to mine? I think platinum and iron ore are the good ones and they are ubiquitous at several maps. I think I’m gonna focus on those things since I bought the watchwork mining pick. Orian sapling, butternut squash, omnomberry, lemongrass, and ghost pepper are good but quite rare.

As regard to 10gold/hour, I think I read obsolete information. I’ve grown weary of farming dungeons and silverwaste, so I’m looking another activity. Thx for all your input

Like many other farms, I did some test runs and kept stats. About 12.5g gross and 10.5 net were my averages for the best routes – focusing on plat/hard wood and soft/seasoned/iron. The key is to focus only on the most concentrated node spots.

One example run: Mount Maelstrom – criterion WP, then run down the hill to the ruins for the rich plat. WP to Murkvale to check for rich plat and gather towards dysphoric rim, stopping once you hit the lava field. WP over to Old sledge, run north getting the guaranteed rich plat and checking for the other rich plat north of golem platform.

I’d usually also hit the Brisban rich iron/canyon, Snowden strawberries and rich iron in the bear cave, timberline rich plat/hard wood. Terra Carorunda is also concentrated with seasoned wood, iron and decent plants. You can’t run it for 5 hours straight, because you run out of rich nodes and that drops your yield immensely. However, if you rotate through 20-30 minute runs on different chars, 10g/hour is achievable. WW pick does account for a decent chunk of this. If you stick to the concentrated gathering spots, my numbers were about 350 metal/hour, 150 wood and 60 plants, plus about 110 WW sprockets and 30 gemstones.

Mostly, any quick answer wont be placed by people hording their secrets, lol, but just find something do able, everything earns you money, and sometimes the goddess is on your side you get some decent drops, and add that to gathering everything, and looting, it does add up over time.

A couple of months back, I made some farming runs, not only going for harvesting but also concentrating on mob kills that drop valuable mats, like poultry meat for example.

I had a good route for southsun cove, 2 ancient saplings, 3 ori nodes, 3 blooming passiflora already give you over 2g, veteran karkas have a guaranteed drop of a karka shell which sells for over 7s and you have the chance for t5 and 6 blood and i got well over 10g per hour at that time and now prices for most of the mats have risen as well.
For a month or so, I convinced my dungeon party to do a 30-45 min farming run in SSC before going for dungeons, do be able to kill karkas faster and we made about 50% more gold in the same time as running AC path 1-3.

But thinking back, i didnt really calculate the dungeon tokens as value, just drops and gold rewards from the dungeons.

Hi there! I’m the creator of the http://starbuckguild.com/ore/ route. The way I personally use the tool is by unchecking copper, silver, gold, and mithril. I also skip all the gardens except strawberries, potatoes, artichokes, and spinach.

I run the whole route with a gathering boost going (usually a guild boost also, and sometimes a banner boost). It generally takes me 1-2 hours to complete, and nets me 15+ gold. I do have a Watchwork Pick, but I usually just sell those once my bank gets full – I deposit while I’m out running.

I should also mention that the toxic spores, while 9s each and totally worth gathering, are something I do last, in case my booster runs out.

A lot of characters also help to make more money, because so you can search for
some spots with a lot of ressources and then run them on all your characters.

3 Days ago for example i had a route where i made 1-1,3 gold in less than 4 minutes.
If i would have run that without taking breaks on 15 characters that would have
been over 15g per hour.

Actually i mostly seek for good wood spots in Dredgehaunt Cliffs, since seasoned wood
is very high in price and you seldom have to fight mobs there.
My other prefered zone for platin and hard wood is Timberline Falls.
