i like to have a dialogue with people, even if im arguing.
some players are really easy to argue with and the discussion always end in this way: insults from the other part in every known language – blacklist.
yes, the trolls put you in the blacklist. you cant answer him, just report if he’s too aggressive.
i dont use blacklist as i have a sort of “auto ignore” feature after i argue with someone but i find this system a bit childish-friendly. also, i think 90% of the time its used to avoid a direct answer in present instead of avoid the player in the future.

any thoughts about it? perhaps im the only player that meet those cute guys but i find the blacklist thing being more annoying that the guys themselves.

When I start arguing with someone it results in my temp ban or kick from end of dungeon.

Majority of players in this game still suck on their mother’s nipples, and you can hardly discuss about anything with anyone in a way that won’t make them take every 2nd word as personal insult.

after arguing on the forums some kiddies actually decided to send insults to my bf. They did it in quite a stupid way – they would whisper an insult and immediately block him. That’s where having friends helps – I’m able to send them a message saying that if they continue to act the way they’re acting they will get reported for harassment and my bf can report them for harassment.
Though block list does serve some good reasons. I met this asura while waiting for the Shatterer. Because I was a female asura the same size as him he started whispering invitations to have sex with him and wouldn’t leave me alone. The easiest thing to do then is simply block.

Maybe because people want to actually play the game instead of debate random crap with you?

Doesn’t always work that way when they start the argument and can’t take the heat anymore.

did you even read my post? if not, at least read what Mirta said.
im speaking about players that insults you and then put you in the blocked list, with no chance to answer them. this is indeed the way to play the game.

This has been going on literally forever. I even do this to trolls because I know it drives them insane to be challenged and then not have a chance to run their loud mouths.

Sounds like block is being used correctly.

i like to have a dialogue with people, even if im arguing.” That’s nice for you. Now, what about the other person? Are you self-focused on “having a dialogue”..e.g. argument at their expense?

Behavior has consequences.

If you’re trolling, being deliberately inciting, annoying, immature, etcetera, especially in pursuing “dialogue” (and I’m not saying you are but I have experienced this), the correct social response is to be ostracized. Especially if the other person in the dialogue is merely being used and it is not a useful, beneficial, or enjoyable conversation for them. Block provides that. Nicely.

There is a diversity of players within this game, and a diversity of expectations, values, and norms in regards to social interactions.

I have expectations in regards to “dialogue” that excludes braggarts, boors, and trolls (all immature behavior that has consequences.) I use block to deal with such, quite satisfactorily.

PS. I don’t bother swearing. That would reduce me to their level. Or feed them.

BG: 52 alts, 29 lvl 80’s. They all look good, so I am done with the game: Oct 2014

argh, i had a bad time to understand all your post. a really good one.
as you see im not so good in english and thats can be the reason of your quote.
“if you’re trolling, being deliberately inciting, annoying, immature…” in the cases im trying to describe, this is the description of the person that blocks you, thats the reason of the topic.

Levitas if they are acting that way, why do you care if they block you? Just block them, or ignore it and move on.
