Guild Wars 2

i noticed in most mmos, there are usually chests hidden or behind elite mobs, etc. in this game, i have found maybe 2 or 3 chests. and every one of them doesnt open. i’m staring at one that is sitting behind a rock by a vista. and yet it does nothing. i ask myself, why? poorly implemented code? forgot to turn them on? just want to annoy people? what is the reason for these?

decoration I guess. there are chests behind some bosses, at the ends up puzzles etc… that do open and give you loot.

yeah i just killed a champ and got his chest. but it’s a good feeling finding a hidden chest somewhere. it’s a bad feeling finding a hidden chest somewhere that does nothing

I’ve found a few that do actually open. Perhaps the one’s you’ve found are bugs or just not implemented yet. I’d report them I guess.

I have always thought that they might be tied to events that aren’t active at that particular time?
I have found a few that are driving me nuts trying to trigger events for them
