so since most accounts are given back to their former owners (hacked accounts) (i think they r given back, am i wrong?) wouldnt it be smarter to unblock all the players u blocked? it would take a while but it would totally be irritating if i would be one of the victims (no i am not, not yet at least) to see that i can play again, but everyone has me blocked so i cant have fun playing

ur thoughts?

A better solution would be to make report gold selling would temporarily ignore the player, like it does in World of Warcraft specifically for this exact reason.

Anyway, I don’t think the account is given back to the owner, it just gets banner and that is it.

The original owner can reclaim their account, but they must take the initiative to submit a ticket for that. The only thing ArenaNet does automatically is ban the account.

As for the OP, ArenaNet has no way of knowing why you blocked someone, so removing the block when an account gets banned would wind up creating more grief than it solves.

I have about 230 people on block and 200 of them are gold sellers. Hardly any of them if any at all have shown online for ages, so the chances are even if they are given back – the user isn’t using the game anymore.

You could always unblock them yourself you know. It’s not that hard. I give nicknames to those I want a permanent block and go through my block list periodically and unblock everyone else.

You need to send a report ticket to ANET not put it here ALL goldselling topics get deleted in the forums, not allowed.
