can I please go back to the server I was on
Yes it is annoying and yes it has been mentioned several times. Where it sits on the list of things to do/can do is unknowable to players. I would really like it to be high on the list.
I agree it can be annoying. What I tell my friends is to go minimal settings for huge meta events they DC at (Tequatl). When they remember to do this they don’t DC. Good luck.
DCs plus the rudeness and taxiing out at the world events are why I quit even trying to do them. I’ve never even finished the three headed wurm because everyone taxis out to another map with the wurm as it starts on the map I’m in. When I have been lucky to be on a map where it is being killed, I get DCed.
Somethings are just not worth the headache.

You might want to focus on the actual issue which is you getting disconnected. Check the Tech Support forums or submit a ticket to see if you can get that problem resolved before asking for other players to be locked out due to your connection issues.

Please do not contribute to this new mentality that the players are responsible for getting DCed.
It happens. It just does.
Also I wouldn’t consider not getting into a Tequatl server that I didn’t wait for being locked out. The reason we currently get in full servers is at the misfortune of someone else.
There are at least 2 possible solutions for PvE:
1. Reserve a slot for a short period of time
2. Remember event contribution and reward the player whether they made it back ingame or not
or a combination of the two
And for PvP:
1. Calculate rank rewards based on total time spent in the match including BEFORE and AFTER the disconnection
2. Remember statistics
This way you take a penalty based on how long you leave your team marooned without you and NOT the current system where you take a penalty based on how lucky/unlucky you are depending on what point in the game you lost connection.
i don’t know why they never did this in the first place, this system already exists in GW1….

Totally agree. I miss how in GW1 in a town/outposts there was a drop down menu to show you how many copies of the map was active and if it was full you would be told that.
This needs to be made for GW2 so it’s not by chance if you spawn on a populated map or a map that is empty just to be told in no time more or less with a message “The map you are on has a low population would you like to go to a more populated map?”
