can we have a way to combine armor
Or you could simply toss some of your kitten. If you have 4 safe bags just to hold inventory and still cant manage the other 80 slots for loot because you are running out of space, you have way too much crap.
Also, you pretty much want a legendary armor piece. Do you want to pay 2000 gold for the pleasure of saving a couple of inventory slots? If you say yes… Why yes, I do think you are insane. But each to their own I guess.

i have about 15 stacks of salvage kits and about 20 stacks of sigils since I carry around mob specific sigils (10% vs undead, etc) to switch between.
Then I have condi food, defense food, dps food. and I have powerful potions to go with the sigils “10%+ damage to xx mob”
birthday blaster, some toys, the random trophies you pick up, shovels, etc.
Its not just random kitten, its mostly kitten that I actually use and would be a bother to store in the bank.
And no, I didnt ask for legendary armor, I asked for exotic armor that you can combine to switch between stats.
Stop strawmanning

Egad, 15 stacks of salvage kits? You can turn that into 1, or at most 2, via salvage-o-matics.
I think you are the first person I’ve seen who min-maxes to the point of situation-specific sigils, too. More power to you, I have a lot of respect for people with that kind of attention to detail, but I suspect you are vastly in the minority. Even though it would be cool to be able to combine stats and then toggle them as you ask (if you make it extend to adding as many stats as you want per piece, then it is heading for Legendary armor), I think it is a solution to a problem that the majority of players never experience.
so, you’re suggesting he gets rid of his armor stats so he can’t change the way he plays?
“to each their own”
really?
the game initially stated “play how you want to play”
not only was that a fail because of the zerker pve meta, but now you’re further telling him he can’t do it because it’s “too much crap”
craft or buy a legendary to swap stats on only your weapon?
for what?
so you can then have to re-apply a sigil?
have fun with a Sigil of Generosity on a non-crit build you decided to play around with
there needs to be less clutter in this game period
it’s that simple
they already have the tech to do so, clearly, as with legendaries being able to swap to anything
just add what he suggested and be done with it, make someone have to actually do something for one stat rather than give it out for free, adding in sigils/runes
food and potions are also a dumb source of clutter, sure, it’s not a big deal carrying around just 2 things out of a full 8×20 slot bags, but this person wants to have his powerful potions and sigil swaps
being in wvw more than 90% of the time running around with every piece of siege along with a basic counterpart for lack of supply and/or when a superior isn’t needed, and multiple armor sets for roaming/group/zerging, is also absolutely frustrating
the amount of loot dropped is insane when combined with all these issues
blues and greens for days and we have to worry about selling/mixing up things that can’t fit in invisible bags because we have to already have so much stuff in them, then switching out equipment causes it to go to the front of the bags because whynot
(excluding fractal exotic/rare bags)

Amen to that.
Players slugging around several sets of gear and a ton of sigils to min-max constantly will always run into trouble with ‘space’.
food and potions are also a dumb source of clutter
Right. That’s why we all carry around 15 different kinds to be prepared for any kind of situation and that on all our 20+ different characters….
There are limitations to everything, forcing one to make (hard)choices, but apparently some ppl don’t want to be confronted by them, they want an easier solution.
This would be where a build template saver would be handy (and overdue). You could upload a singles of armour + weapon set + trait set to a tab which you can flick to from your current set.
Space would be saved, you could more easily change your builds ooc and you could have 2-3 options.
I’m not expecting build sets to ever be part of the game, since the opportunity has been and gone with the trait overhaul – that was the prime time to set one up, but it would be a welcome addition to the game nonetheless
I’d also like an easier way to swap rings and accessories cause it always swaps the first :’(
the game initially stated “play how you want to play”
You’ve seem to taken this bit out of context, that statement reffered to being able to get the best gear doing what you want, pvp, wvw, pve (dungeons/fractals/crafting/etc)
Anyhow, back to the topic at hand.
If this thing is coming anywere its legendary armor as other have stated.
Or ascended equipment x3 with a heavy gold value item in the 4th slot
I think it would be great addition to expand the wardrobe idea. Crafting and unlocking runes and sigils then apply them to gear that would unlock that stat to be swapped in/out through a menu system on each slot of gear. It would be great for guild wars to have real build diversity on the fly.
i have about 15 stacks of salvage kits
Where are you farming, in the middle of Antarctica? 1 good kit for rares and 5 basics is enough to last even the most hardcore WvWer until the next time he see a merchant.
There I just saved you 9 slots. If you get the copper salvager you save 13 slots.
Why you need 20 stacks of sigils is beyond me, those can probably be optimised down to a dozen various weapons for different situations.

And could switch out all those sigils for a sigil of force thats another 20 slots
