Guild Wars 2

For bitterfrost frontier alts could use the gate from the next zone once one chararacter on the account had done the first part of the story. For LD I can not do that from DR on my other characters. Some people are saying they can though. So what are other people seeing before I report this as a bug?

One can not. Or, at least, on my account, one can not.

I don’t think it’s a bug, but…one never knows, I suppose.

’’Lake Doric Portal Scroll’’ is a great way to use if you want to enter the map with alts. I use it all the time with my alt characters.

You can buy it from a merchant in the docks!

Also, the main reason why you cannot enter the area with characters who haven’t started the new episode of the LS with alts is because, I assume, newbies and other random people who have no clue what they’re doing entering the area as it’s level-80 map. Specially when the entrance is in one of the main Capitals where most newbies are running around.
But I could be wrong!

As alga said. I have 4 characters in lake doric, only 1 of which has done the story step ‘meeting of ministers’. Portal scrolls are really convenient.

Alas, I can’t really afford to use another shared inventory slot for another portal scroll. I don’t really understand why the game doesn’t unlock the zone for the account, once you’ve completed the story on at least one character (or better yet: the first chapter of the relevant episode).
