The reward was moved from the loot you get at the end of the story mode (which is repeatable on every character) to an achievement chest for finishing the story mode the first time. Achievement chests are never repeatable, because they’re account-bound.

So essentially yes, you only get the gloves on the first character you beat the story mode chapter with.

Okay… I haven’t done the latest LS chapter and just came across this thread and I have to ask, does these mean we can only get the gloves for one armor type? So, for example if I pick the medium gloves I can never get the heavy gloves?

I’m only here because sometimes I just like to watch things burn.

You can’t get more than 1 from the story.

But you can buy more sets of gloves from the Bandit Crest vendor in Silverwastes (1000 crests and 1g per glove, I believe) and you can also rarely get them looting the pods in the Labyrinth and possibly from the loot bags you get from the Breach.

So there are ways to get more, just ones that require more grind or luck when playing the Silverwastes content, and not via the story.

Wow… this LS isn’t designed with much replayability in mind is it? I am glad there is an alternate way of obtaining the gloves, but it’s still a bummer. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
