Has ANET said anything as to when they will bring out character name changes? I thought they would have been available when they released the character appearance change kit. Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

Why do people choose names they don’t want :p

I just find it a bit odd, they let people change their gender, but there is no name change to go with it.

I now have a female Norn called Colin.

I now have a female called Vantis the Great lol, I am waiting for the day they let me change.

I can’t speak for everyone, but for Roleplayers the concept behind a character often changes long after you’ve advanced them too far to easily reroll. Like I had a character with a very specific persona who I realized would make a lot more sense as a Guardian than an Engineer, so as soon as Rename tokens go live, the Engineer is getting a new name and persona, while the placeholder Guardian is getting the old character’s identity. I also have an Asura whose name I misspelled, and a Norn whose name I’m just not satisfied with after getting more familiar with the lore.

ArenaNet, do you want more money? Please just add this. It can’t be difficult. My stupid level 80 necro has a misspelling of a real word in its name. I didn’t realize it until level 60 or so. It’s embarrassing.
