charr so not appealing
They’re playable because so many people begged them to be throughout GW1’s lifetime. :s
Fail to see how since you don’t like them they should be removed. You don’t like em, don’t play em. Or is someone in your house holding a gun to your head forcing you to roll one?
The charr have by far the most interesting story and personality of any of the five races, and by FAR the best voice acting and design. People who don’t like rolling charr are missing out. I’m actually planning to make another one when I get my seven character started.
Get rid of humans, if anything, they’re the most bland race of the five by far. Which is sort of crazy when you consider that they have one of the more exciting backgrounds, what with being nearly pushed to the brink of extinction. But their voices are bland, their zones are bland, their stories are bland….they arguably manage to out-bland Trehearne.
How’d that work out for us so far?
Now let’s try some ideas that will really work.
Charr have awesome running animation, voiceovers, heavy armors. What is wrong with you?
Don’t like em myself either. Don’t see why they should be removed cause someone doesn’t tho. Personally wish I could help the Separatists kick charr kitten rather then always have to help the charr. But that not the storyline so, meh.
Love the charr. It’s my second most favorite race after Asura. They have an awesome personality, ash and iron legion also provides a nice storyline. I am able to create some cute cats for playing too
The most disliked race – Sylvari (despite having a level 80 sylvari alt most used for dungeons and fractals). They act so stupid.

Many of them aren’t even a year old. .-. Be nice. My Sylvari is justa baby. :x
I love my Charr, and you can’t help the separatists because going back to war means we lose to the dragons. :P

I know……. but how about as post end game stuff? Ppl keep kvetching about having nothing to do after endgame besides grinding a legendary (and I know I wont be, have yet to see one worth the bother, and a skin isn’t worth the bother, better gear is.) Sure, this kinda idea would have to be instanced and, more then likely, not workable, but I can dream.
As for most hated, as mentioned in a prev post, for me: Asura. Those midgets annoy the hell outta me. When I was in their rat’s warren of a city I heard an NPC go on about being hung up by his ears for two days during the Golem Revolt. I’m sure he deserved it and I laffed me nether regions off.
I think charrs are good if you want to play a mean character. I agree they have the best 1-20 storyline. At level 30 and up though, the storyline starts merging with your organisation and racial subtilities mean nothing anymore. So 20 levels of fun storyline aren’t really worth playing a character you can’t bond with if you find Charrs unappealing.

Actually I liked the political struggles between the queen and her ministers, and I grew to like Logan even though he looked like your generic human paladin at first. Can’t beat Rytlock but he’s tied with Zoija for my #2.
But yeah, the “dying race” card wasn’t nearly played enough. In fact I think it wasn’t played at all because I don’t remember being told to hold human ground past my intro mission. The human story would have been more engaging if characters felt that their race was really struggling for survival.
charr does not appeal to me.
there, fixed the topic name for ya!.
but seriously. wtf. just because you don’t like them mean the entire community dislike them and thus should be removed from the game? what the kitten?
it’s like saying. “i don’t like bacon, so it shouldn’t be allowed to eat it”( i love bacon, its wierd it isn’t in the game).
the charr is so essential in the lore of gw2 and u probably don’t even realize it. for starters, they were the reason why orr sunk in the first place.
(have i been trolled?)
I didn’t like the charr for a while. I didn’t HATE them…they just didn’t appeal to me.
However, after playing through the majority of their story line (stopped at trehearne… kitten necro vegetable), I find them very enjoyable.
Not my fave (i’d have to say that Norn and Sylvari are my two faves). But they are alright.
Can’t wait for Tengu
