I’m new too, I played a couple hours and my advice is if you have the banker item from delux package DON’T USE IT
as it expires in 4 days and you don’t really need it at low level
everything else is so easy, just explore around and party up and do events, you will get it by level 5, just enjoy it and take your time really

The real trouble with reality is that there’s no background music.

Don’t be in a rush to get to level 80- you’ll be more immersed in the world if you take your time with the personal story and explore the world. Level 80 is great, but the journey is the best Enjoy!

Try and do every event you can. The rewards are generally a little better than hearts.

Go to your settings and disable melee assist, enable autoloot and disable double tap dodge.

D/D elemental is the current godmode class if you want to fotm.

protips for inventory management:
1 – you can and should salvage anything white or blue that you don’t use with salvage kits
2 – you can use deposit all collectibles to empty bags into bank without stopping by a major city
3 – you can sell anything you consider worth selling on the trading post from anywhere in the world. You don’t have to be in a major city.
4 – you can buy from the trading post anywhere in the world, but must stop by a trading post rep to actually pick them up.

This should help you avoid bag-full status.

Other tips:

while you can “kite around” various mobs in the beginning of the game, they get faster as you go to higher level zones.

While some kiting is still utilized, its’ best to learn to use your weapon and skill combos to control encounters, prevent damage, and learn burst combos early.

Traits matter, it’s best to take at least one survival tree for at least the first 10 trait points before moving to offensive trait lines.

I’ve been finding it more cost effective to vendor those items and then just buy whatever mats I need off the TP.

My turret is so much better at this game than I am.

typical queensdale blue vendors for 3 to 7 c.

typical swatch of cloth or piece of ore will go for between 17 and 34 c.

salvaging then TP-ing the resulting raw materials will always be preferable to vendoring unless its a green.
