crawling in the down state
I actually think that finishing is too strong and needs to go away. The downed state in this game is supposed to compensate for how easy it is to die (survival is about half of that over similar PvP/RvR-oriented games). But finishers just render it useless, since if the enemy has stability or goes stealth its all rendered moot.
On top of this, resurrecting someone is a tad too difficult right now in many situations. Once someone is downed or defeated, most of the time they are gone forever unless they are in the middle of a group that can spam rezz them. Resurrecting players are incredibly vulnerable and that is why the dodge back when they start taking damage, because it is better for one player to survive than for both to die.
I fully support a crawling mechanic and I hope it completely messes finishers and makes it somewhat easier to resurrect allies!

I actually think the exact opposite and think the downed mechanic is to strong,with the downed system in mind youre less eager to take on a 3 or 4vs1 since you know you just wont be able to finish them all off even if you get 3 downed.I think the downed system has a proper place in pve,but in pvp/wvw it’s only a frustrating thing to be encountering at most times.Quick example,i was in an bl trying to get to my group,i came across 4 thieves..obviously i went the other way..they chased me instead and i got in combat mode so i had to fight.End result was,2 downed thieves 1 death thief and 1 going stealth mode and ressing his buddys while i was “Trying” to get the other one finished,mind you all my utils are on cd now and my hp is around 25%.The thief in stealth managed to get one guy up..they jump me and i go down.They all get ressed,and started to dance and laugh on my body,completely forgetting i was kicking their kitten instead,and without the downed system things would have gone completely different.The downed system in pvp/wvw is a pain to be dealing with everytime you encounter a 1vsx,no matter how you put it,too many people are able to “win” a fight due to the downed system wich is so wrong.

Agree, downed system + crawling only in PvE, in PvP and WvW it has no place.
