That’s pretty much. I’m leveling a Char thief and I can buy T1 Cultural armor & weapons, but the price is high for me atm. It’s a good idea save money for the set for leveling purposes?Or should I save it and keep using what I get from drops and come back to it later for the looks? The stats are higher than my usual equipment, but I don’t now if the drop equipment would rapidly catch them and make T1 a waste of money.

Cultural Armor is just really a skin to some people for X-muting purposes. No one really buys Cult armor for the stats. Just Save your money and if you feel like it and have the funds buy it, mute it, and feel sexy.

No it’s not. It’s something to aim for when you are all geared out.

I buy T1 cultural for all my characters as they level- although I buy it at lvl35 so they can wear it
- It has really good stats for that level and they don’t outlevel it too fast.
I use transstones if I want to keep the pieces, which I often do.
My engi is level 80 with a mix of transmuted T1 and T2

It is up to you really, if you can afford it why not?

The problem is, that I can’t, not without having to save money while leveling and therefore not having it for any other thing I need.

Anyway, I think it is clear for me now. I’ll buy them if I can for the looks and if the stats are better than what I’m wearing at the moment. I suppose that I will buy them all eventually when I get richer.

I don’t think it’s worth it, t3 cultural armor is grotesquely over priced.
Imho, I think t3 should be priced at what t2 is currently at, and t2 was somewhere in the middle.

And since where on the topic, I think there could stand to be more cultural armor sets, esp for the Syvari.

one thing there is achievements for getting the armors. i got em for each set of race i have. there are a few i tranmuted to better stats too.

they are like the 75K armour sets in guild wars, for looks to transmute and work towards, for levelling i’d just stick to masterwork (green) items until 80.

t3 price is fine, it’s meant to make you look kitten and in this game you pay a lot for aesthetics.

I just bought T1 sylvari armor for my lvl 35 alt. Looks great and the stats aren’t bad. I’ll xmute these as I level because they look fantastic. Better than T2 or T3 imo. The cost of T1 is pretty cheap, 2.5g for the whole set iirc. And for a status piece, that’s not bad. T3 costing 120g for the set is kinda ridiculous but as a status piece I guess it makes sense. I’d be happier if it were closer to 75g for the set. Still too rich for me but a more realistic price.
