You now have a speed advantage over fellow players. Instead of clicking 50 times on a big stack of luck to use it, you can click just once to delete it.

That’s actually a really good idea.
Just refine and then store it on another alt.
Unless you are purposely salvaging for more luck, you won’t be running out of inventory space any time soon.
You could always stop salvaging things and sell them instead. Most of the time this will get you more money. (MOST of the time, there are many exceptions)
