I love the idea of guild missions, even though my guild is to small to experience one started from ourselves. Personally I haven’t seen a single one guild misson happening on my server and I wonder if it’s because I’m a night-player or if most people have the same experience.

So do you see a lot of guild missions happening while playing in the world – doing events etc. ?

I’d like to add a little suggestion to make guild missions shine out more

-) add announcement-boards to cities where guilds can announce guild missions. (Where? When? Name of the Guild)
-) as an incentive to do this, make it possible to support the guild by clicking on the announcement-board and donate a random amount of ingame-gold.
-) as an incentive for random people to click on the board/guild mission announcement make it so that those people (not from the guild) get twice the rewards from participating in that mission. They have to donate at least 3 silver though. If the guild misson isn’t happening they get their money back.
-) people can rate a guild (1 to 5 stars) – so it’s easier to find reliable guilds

I see guild missions happening all the time, but almost never at night. That’s because guilds tend to schedule missions when most people can make them. For example, more are run on weekends than weekdays, though sometimes we run one one thursday nights.

When we’re out looking for bounty targets, there’s usually someone from another guild or even two or three looking for targets in the same zones. We’ve started helping each other out…which I understand doesn’t happen on all servers.

But yes, I see lots of people doing guild missions.

Early on the biggest challenge in doing bounties on Desolation was trying to find a time when another guild hadn’t just activated and/or killed the targets.

It’s gotten better now because most of the big/active guilds have more missions unlocked so you don’t get everyone doing the same ones at the same time. (I think a lot of guilds also picked set times to do them and spread them out through the week, so one guild will do their mission on a Monday, another on Tuesday, mine on Wednesday etc. which helps everyone.)

But yes I do still see them happening fairly regularly. Especially the bounty but that’s probably because they’re the most noticeable.

Ran into one in Timberline falls a couple of days back. Kind of shocked. I came to farm some Jotuns in a cave and I run into around 150 players going nuts over some champion ettins.

The guild I’m on run guild missions twice a week (going to three now that we unlocked other missions), and while I can’t say I’ve run into many (as in, being there when they happen), I see people asking about the bounty targets in map char all the time.

In my guild, we do 1 type: tier 3 bounty so we get a chance at getting at least 1 boss we can find before the timer runs out. Everybody gets their personal rewards and we’re done for the week.

We’ll start earning merits when we get trek. Our guild is too small to waste our time getting frustrated by completing bounties.

We do the same thing. Always running into other guilds on bounty bosses and seeing other guilds asking in map chat if anyone has seen a boss.

We run a number of them every week, both T3 for maximum guild points and T1 to catch up commendations. I think we even made a special tier of guild member to temporarily recruit people to help with them if they so wish.

Join a larger guild in addition to your smaller guild and you can do missions and still be in your smaller guild. Many guilds will allow people to rep just to run missions with them. It’s not really any sweat off their brows. There are also public missions on some servers, run by larger guilds.

Edit: Just be aware some guilds do have 100% rep requirement. Don’t join those, if you’re already in another guild.
