does GW2 use direct x 9, 10 or 11?
x9 for whatever reason I automatically assume that they will be adding the other two or at least DX11 eventually.
They had time since basically they started development to add Dx10+ support.
Dx10 is around since end of 2006, Gw2 development started about 4 years ago IRC.
They still haven´t.
I have a suspicion most if not all MMOs are based around the same old DX9 engine customized to there needs.
My benchmarking tools say DX9.

GW1 had a custom-made engine. I don’t know what name ANet has for it, but people call it simply “Guild Wars engine”.
GW2 has a heavily altered version of that engine, that includes features like Havok physics and Umbra occlusion and, of course, jumping.
