how can you make one class have the best HP, heavy armor have some of the better burst?

I see my wife play her Elementalist and put out meh damage and be extremely squishy, and then watch my cousin play his warrior (both in exotics mind you) be fairly tanky yet put out amazing damage.

hell I play a level 80 guardian and a level 80 Engineer (again in full exotics) and the only way my engineer comes close to my guardian in damage is with the grenade kit and full damage. this is pretty funny since my guardian is built to be very defensive.

now i can’t go into other classes since i don’t have the experience with them and this is not a “nerf guardian and warrior” post as i love my Guard.

i just don’t understand your class design philosophy and your intentions with them.

Armour and health are not the only factors in survivability. In fact, they take a back seat to skills. Thieves and Guardians both have MUCH higher survivability than glass cannon warriors, generally, while having less hp. Classes aren’t meant to be compared as unresponsive punching bags.

Furthermore if any warrior is building glass cannon to have the “some of the better burst” he will drop like a fly, by anyone’s standard. They are not both sturdy and bursty at once.

They kept telling me this in lotro and i still disagree…
Champions have to be in melee range which means they get hit by every AoE and get hit first, So they need super OP armour, mitigations, health and bubbles which are not Op at all in pvp(sarcasm), they also had the best dps, YAY.

Champion stands for warrior.
Of course this doesnt even apply to Gw2 when warrior can do just as good when using ranged weapons >_<

the differences between a tank build, balanced build and glass cannon build really arent that big. What im saying is that you can get lots of defence without dropping your damage so much that it REALLY shows up, or well it could, but we cant measure it really without dps calculators etc.

these are just my points of view so far that i have learned, please dont flame if im wrong lol.
