i am curious and wondering what gw2 has planned for these 2 days
easter is on march 31st and the april fools falls on a monday april 1st
i am looking forward to my chocolate bunnies and golden eggs :P

Hopefully they give everyone a precursor, and those people who try to sell it/forge it are met with an April Fools message.

Realistically, nothing. It’s a one-day ‘holiday’ and not worth the programming resources

Not sure what they would do with Easter – I think they’re focusing more on the April patch

I heard from an ANet person in game that April Fool’s is going to be pretty spectacular. He was fair cackling, said he has no idea what they are going to do next year since this year is going to be so over the top, lol.

Precursors have a 100% chance to drop from ambient mobs. April 2nd they turn into easter eggs. On easter, you can turn in a rotten easter egg for a marshmellow peep. Yay!

We had April’s Fools Day in GW1, so I expect some surprises in GW2 as well Sex-Change day, Stickman day…

They’ve almost always done pretty awesome stuff in Guild Wars 1, specially the last 2 April’s Fools(Commando missions).
Excited to see what they’ve done for this one!

They give make EVERY weapon look like a legendary one and the legendaries look like lvl 1 starter weapons

edit: i think this would be very useful for people to see how the legendaries REALLY look like on their char and how for example juggernaut effects their armor …. preview is not always satisfying … (for example juggernaut has no armor effect in preview)

April fools will be the Annihilator 250 quest.

An “April Fools” curse will fall upon the players, making no loot at all drop until you obtain a curse removal potion (which of course will be for sale in the gem store for 3000gems)

I’ve no doubt there’ll be something fun, but the cynical side of me also suspects they’ll find some way of monetising it.

Easter is the last day of the daily sales in the Gem Store. As such, I expect Revive Orbs to go on sale that day.

I can almost guaruntee that there will be something done for April Fools.

There may be another spring event for Easter, but I have no clue. (50% MF Bunny Eggs? Yes please).

April’s fools is traditionally outside of the game – like here on the forums …

I LOVED Stickman Day! I have a huge folder of screenies from that. Gender Bender was pretty fun too, getting to see the alternate version of my armor. Also, there was a mini-me too, I think. And something involving freakish dolls or kids or something.

This was awesome.

For both I guess no content but Items in the itemstore and maybe some items added to the droppool for that time . Right now I think the team has enough to do and right after the big march patch I don’t expect them to add holiday content for Eastern or April’s Fools day but they never did that in GW1 too so what gives. In the end it was just another reason to grind :P

They already got you early, the prelude, april fools!!!! now the real content is gonna start pumping out =D

Not by Anet tradition. As you can see from the other posts, they always did something special in game in the original Guild Wars. My favorite was the commando missions.
