so iv had gw2 since launch and i enjoyed it, played off and on playing wow and just recently ESO …meh, I was thinking of going back to gw2 but i want to know what the end game pve is like or if they have done anything about it since last i played about a year ago?

I guess it depends on what you mean by “done anything about it”.

End game content includes:

WvW
PvP
Fractals
Dungeons
World Bosses
Miscellany

If you’re asking if they’ve added new dungeons/raids since you last played about a year ago, then no, they have not.

I think end game, in a more traditional sense, will end up being handled by Heart of Thorns, the new expansion. But until Anet tells us about their challenging group content, we won’t know for sure.

It’s a matter of personal taste. Some find them fun, some don’t. I prefer Fractals to the older dungeons, but some of the older dungeons I like as well.

They all start out fun, but as you do them more and more, like with any game’s dungeons, they begin to feel like a task you want to complete as quickly as possible. In fact there is a whole speedrunning culture that exists in GW2 with that are very discriminating against anyone who is not playing the meta. Luckily they don’t make up the majority.

I’m with Vayne as far as preferring fractals over the dungeons. I still find them fun, but I know plenty of people that don’t simply because we’ve been doing them for years now and are feeling burnt out.

If you haven’t been around for a year, you missed out on living world season 2. You’ll have to get it from the gem store. Some of the achievements for it can be a challenge to get.

For 5 man instanced content, you should make your way up to Fractals 50 since they are updating it in the expansion.

Just wait for expac (alleged new challenging content is coming) because the current endgame has remained intact since beta – skins.
Nothing new since than. Its all about playing dress up if your looking for PvE endgame

otherwise, you can join sPvP / WvW that’s been revamped maybe twice since the games been released…

The end game is Barbie doll dress up and buying an outfit to crm into your wardrobe so you have something new to wear every day. Glamour FTW!

Well, they added Vinewrath. Not as challenging as the Marionette was, but still better than nada.

They are fun the 2 or 3 first runs same as Fractals. After that they are repetitive and boring, only good to farm their unique currency for the skins or fractals relics.
Same go for World Bosses, a massive hitbox standing right in the middle where you only need to stand and hit 1.

End game is costume brawl and playing with other toys in LA.
