I just created an f2p account in order to upgrade it in the near feature as an ALT account. Anyway a couple of questions.
1) My account is old since beta (the f2p one) and I am somehow locked in a server which I didnt choose “underworld” or something like that. Because it was a beta account and not real servers at that time. Anyway, I dont have the choice to change server and it says “upgrade to receive one free server transfer” . So when I read “one free upgrade” I thought there is a service I could buy with gems maybe? But there is not…
2) The gem store have 2 products GW2 HEROIC edition upgrade and for heart of thorns. If someone with f2p account purchases that, automatically turns into a full account?
A f2p account (not yet upgraded) can not switch servers. If the person with a f2p account wants to get on a different, not full server, they will need to make a new f2p account and start it on the server.
If a f2p account buys the gemstore HoT expansion or the gemstore heroic upgrade and applies it to the f2p account, it will become a full account. At that point it can switch servers to another non full server by deleting all its chars and switching or by paying for a transfer.

how you apply the paid world transfer (SErver change), is there any outside the game, store you could purchase that? I can only find the core and the expansion as a purchase (webpage store).
The server transfer is an option available to full accounts only. To transfer you go to character select. At bottom left is World Selection. Clicking on that brings up a server panel. Select the non full server you want to transfer to. At bottom right of the panel is a button for guest and a button for transfer. If you have characters on that account and press transfer it will bring up a payment with gems to transfer panel.
Just so you know. Transferring is only for those who wish to WvW on a different server or to change from an EU <—> NA server. There is no need to transfer for PvE or sPvP reasons because the game has Megaservers.
Ok thanks, well if I have an alt account, I want them both in the same server… no matter what if I am pvp or pve
As I said this alt account is created durring beta 3 years ago! I also have the beta test character inthere! So I didnt have the choice uppon character creator, which server I want to be.
And I also would love to keep this 1 character inside it as a memorial, to remember.. lol
You will either have to buy Heart of Thorns expansion, or find a retailer still selling the core game. You cannot buy Heroic Upgrade to get a full account, you need to buy core game in order to buy the heroic Upgrade.

Ok. I thought that was what was used to upgrade to a non expansion account. But if so, then he needs to buy the HoT to upgrade and keep his same account.

Yes they have to buy, with cash, at least the base HoT. The upgrade in the Gem Shop is base HoT to Deluxe HoT, just the various goodies.
When I made my P4F account I was allowed to choose whatever not full server I wanted. I didn’t notice if the server transfer option was grayed out or not.
