Have parts of the game where players need to change to a first person shooter mode to complete and everyone is given a gun of some sort, maybe a plant gun for sylvaris. Some target practicing games would add some more variety to the game.

While I’m all for diversity, a shooter made on an MMO engine would probably play about as well as a platformer on an MMO engine (hint: not very well)

That could definitely be a fun minigame. Dragon Ball was very Quake-like, so something like that shouldn’t be too hard to do. Now, I wouldn’t expect it to work great, but as Lorgus implied, that hasn’t stopped ANet before, lol.

Just something that changes the screen into first person shooting. No walking while shooting needed. Its a first step.

The platformer was one of the most praised contents ever, so not very well is on the other end of the measuring-stick of what actually happened.

If you take a rifle, switch to first person and start shooting (without taking anything into target) the feeling is actually pretty close to a shooter. The onely things you’d still need are a crosshair, a way to force every contender into first person mode and a way to prevent people from targeting others. If this game-mode ever comes out, count me in!

I used to play Planetside 2 all day where large scale pvp was actually large scale, particle effects and all and it ran just fine.
