I actually like the fotm but with the checkpoints it seems regardless how many times my party fails, we would finish it anyway. Maybe I am one of the few people who like challenge and fotm isn’t punishing enough. I want to learn from the mistakes we made but it seems everyone (myself included) keeps doing the same mistakes knowing that we can get away with the checkpoints. I only got up to level 7, I am just wondering if the checkpoints are removed at higher levels?

Where you get the idea I keep checkpointing? I want it to be removed at higher levels to make it more challenging. I still see bad players at lvl 6 because they could get away with checkpointing. Perhaps it also affects me because if they all die then I have no choice to die in order to checkpoint.

If they take away checkpoints, and I am running with a nub who falls to their death at a place we cant rez them, we are now down a player for the entire fractal. Keep checkpoints, otherwise bugs will destroy FOTM and make it not worth playing. Maybe add a hardcore mode for players that want the challange, but dont punish all of them to a life of bugs destroying our runs.

Pretty much what I’m suggesting that higher levels should provide a bit more challenge and punish mistakes. Currently, it is just “everybody is a winner, eventually” content.

Gaming in itself could be considered waste of time. I guess it’s a waste of time because you don’t get any rewards at the end knowing that you won’t be able to complete it. Gamers these days require rewards, easy achievements and time-efficient platform.

Meh, I guess I prefer old school gaming style where the characters in the games had limited lives. If I die too often, I have to restart. Also there wasn’t any rewards involved at the end because that’s whole point of gaming which these days have degenerated into kitten contest.

I agree, I think after level 8 for example there should be no checkpoints to increase the challenge.

Did you even read the first post? I’m at lvl 7 atm, I would like to see more challenge into it. Perhaps you should go back to pre-school and fix your reading comprehension.

Just press the Exit button if you die in the bottom right. Make it a challenge yourself… I for one thank the checkpoint because we ran into a glitch, and wiping & checkpointing fixed it.

Level 7 is tier 1. level 10 is the start of tier 2.

Reading comprehension? He said TIER 2, you said LEVEL 7. Guess you’re the one that needs to go back to pre-school.

Tier 2 starts at level 10.

I highly doubt checkpoints would ever be removed due to rage on bugged dungeons.

Even now WITH checkpoints your group can get locked in instances like Cliffside with the bugged cage.
