Guild Wars 2

Ok here is my problem, something i find anoying. When i got the game i seen there where no PVP/RP/PVE specific servers, and a friend was on the Aurora G. server so i thought i just join there.Now he doesn’t play anymore, not a problem to me but in the meantime i joined a guild i kind of like.
And guildwars 2 made this neat option to ‘represent’ or ‘stand down’ from a guild, clearly this was made to avoid the sort of problem i’m talking about…BUT id like to RP, now it seems a group of people decided to make an “unoficial RP server” and everyone who likes RP is now forced to go there.
Now i like the guild i am in, but i like to RP, but no chance on aurora glades :p I feel like transfering to the other server, but will i loose my guild and friends in the proces?
I checked over the net and forums, theres no real statement on this. And for guesting it just vaguely says it will be implemented soon.I’m loosing intrest in the game over it, such a hassle and little info on it.

Guilds are not server based if thats what you’re wondering.

So Rizzy if i change server i will not loose my guild?? And be able to join dungeon runs with them?
And what about World vs. World, and the Power of the Mists bonuses?

You can be a member of that guild, and maybe communicate with them still (I’m not sure about that), but I don’t think you can do WvW with them since it’s server based, and I don’t think you can join dungeons, since those are server based.

You’re going to have to choose what you love more. Pixel people or rabbit cybersex.

Anet makes a neat option to ‘represent’ or ‘stand down’ to solve these kind of problems, What do ppl do? They find a way to make this a problem still, go make an unoficial server, and everyone with similar intrest is forced to play along, gj guys.

You can stay in guild and chat with them in guild chat but WvW is server based so you’ll have to do WvW on whatever server you’re on and will get bonuses from that server. Also, guild bonuses and upgrades only apply on the guild’s home server. As for dungeons, you can group with anyone on any server. But to do a dungeon you need to be on the same server so until they implement guesting I suggest doing this: if you can get one person into an overflow server than the rest of you can click on his portrait and join him on that overflow server and play together there. This really goes for any open world PvE stuff as well. Granted getting into an overflow is not always easy but until they implement guesting that’s your option. But guilds are gamewide so you don’t have to ever leave if you don’t want to. They are also account-wide so you can, as you mentioned, choose to “represent” on an alt without needing a new guild invite.

Thanks for all that info Leiloni still seems quite a hassle.I’l see what i’l do im not sure now.
