hi guys,
has anyone heard if they plan to add new usages for rare mats lower than t6?
i’m pretty sure there are plenty minor ways to get use of those but nothing significant.

Also if it wasn’t for the dam elonian wine required for the upgrading recipe they would already have a use, but since that is aan artificial barreer imposed by the devs, i starting to think that the lodestone price is suppposed to be that high and there are no plans to reduce it further than they did with these mass farming events.

Wasn’t it easyer to reduce elonian wine cost to 12s or lower? and for t6 fine, wasn’t easyer to increase the output of upgrading recipes?

this would bring up the prices of lower tiers and reduce the expensiveness of t6 of both rare and fine t6 mats.

If you watched the twitch video on ascended crafting, some of the lower level tiers are also used in their crafting. It utilizes materials across the tiers.

Edit: It didn’t look like huge amounts of the lower tiers for the new materials being made, but we don’t know specifically how much will be needed for the new weapons, and we haven’t even gotten into armor yet.

ascended crafting doesnt even use the lodestone type mats…

One of the most delightful things to me as a 7+ year GW1 player was when they introduced crafting of consumables, and that those consumables used NOT the high level mats but the low level mats. It was fun and profitable for lower levels and anyone really, to go out and get low level dust and bones.

I would love them to make SOME use of silk and thick leather sections, as it is now, they go to the merchant there are so many of them.

what makes me sad is when while opening bags i see the Yellow name flowing on the right side just to discover that it was a molten silver or fragment or whatever that is Worth like a silk scrap.
Whit elonian wine required to promote them not even t5-6 is Worth the effort, sure situation would change if they require ie 250 molten silver for a part of ascended weap..
and as nalora said that would be awsome, hig level consumables requiring a good amount of extremely underpriced mats (as they tried in bazar of 4 winds to be honest)

They have an official twitch channel (no worries, I didnt realize at first either), and do dev streams weekly (friday’s i believe), and occasionally do LS previews, or upcoming content previews like this. Its really handy, since you can occasionally get a question in and have it answered.

I do like that they are willing to get on camera and talk about what they are working on. They take pride in their work, even if we (the players) tend to bash [it] terribly.

Ascended weapons will mosly requires T2-5 Ingots (Iron, Steel, Darksteel, Mithril for greatsword) and maybe other ingots/wood planks for different weapons.

From what people calculated on Reddit, the Greatsword will cost an average of:
180 Iron Ingots
90 Steel ingots
180 Darksteel ingots
450 Mithril ingots

But those numbers are not 100% sure as they were calculated from the livestream. To resume: the price of those mats will surely rise (mostly mithril I think).

However, I’m sad we don’t have more uses for fragments, silvers, etc. Their price is so low for their rarity.

I don’t think that’s too bad, with the exception of mithril. Holy crap on that. Good thing I stock pile mats like an OCD lunatic haha.

Thank the Goddess for small favors! Those were a thorn in my side!

What would be awesome is if they’d include a small portion of these T6 mats in the same activities that produce the T7 mats you know to offset the problem of farming enormous amounts to get to 500.

weell ppl they addressed elonian wine problem, they doubled the price loooool! probably an oversight!!
