will we be able to change basic stats on gear? I find it rather inconvenient that I can’t get specific types of dungeon armor for example because they don’t have the stats I want or that once bought, you are kinda locked into that gear and are vulnerable to game updates and basically less flexible with traits etc etc… same thing happened in gw1 with insignias.

It’s always been possible, just use transmutation stones.

That’s the entire point of the T Stones:

Helmet A has the look I want.

Helmet B has the stats I want.

Activate T Stone, put stats B on helmet A.

They are not going to change this because… they sell the T Stones in the gem shop and people spend real money to buy them.

Yea and T-stones are given out by the handful. I still have 100+ normal and 30+ Fine I have yet to use and I’ve never had to purchase a single one.

I won’t stop because I can’t stop.

It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….

I’ve gone through quite a few leveling various toons, though I’ve managed to save most of my fine stones… but the fines don’t appear as rewards as often as they used to, so the supply is limited. Many people care about the appearance of their toons (thus the emphasis on weapons/armor with equivalent stats but different looks like dungeon and cultural armors) and reskinning a full set of armor takes six stones, plus two to four to reskin your weapons. Get tired of the look or finally get that set of cultural armor? burn through another eight to ten stones. You can run out of them very quickly.

You can run out of them very quickly.

Assuming you also change your entire look very often.

You aren’t meant to redesign your entire appearance every day based on your mood… though you could if you wanted to, you just need to pay for that privilege.

Yes, as I said, a lot of people care about their toons’ looks, and changing the entire set can burn up to ten stones… so you CAN run out of them quickly. Not everyone will.

For example, I’ve kept the same appearance when upgrading armor and weapons for some toons at level 20, 25, 30, 35… using at least eight of the more common stones each time. At 80 I won’t be changing looks as often, but with several character slots I could easily need 40 or 50 fine stones when I have 20.
