Guild Wars 2

The reason why i think it is a must need it will bring more rping , bring more pvping amongs guilds aka gvg GOD I MISS THAT also gives more to the gamers haveiing own housing , would give rpers more in dept to there rping and also to the perosnlize there own toons and have or be able to craft it guild halls the same way i basicly was looking for this so much when guild wars 2 came out main reason why i bought the game was for that it was a big let down that this wasnt added but the game it self wasa great turn around i look forward to anet and guild wars 2 to bring these housing and guild halls out i think speak for alot of ppl when i say pplease brign these things out

I don’t say something like that is not nice…but shouldn’t be on the priority list,is still an optional thing.

I personally I’m not quite sure if people in general actually want housing.

The reason I make that statement is becuase of playing RuneScape, which given its (former) playerbase size, accessibility and demographic structure, I think gives a nice representation of the general playerbase of a MMO.

Now, the game had one of the most extensive housing systems I’ve yet seen. You can literally make anything, from kitchens to minigames to dungeons and costumise it in a gizillion ways. It even has some unique benefits like huge exp boosts and items you can’t craft otherwise. The devs also over the years pretty frequently tried to make it better and better by introducing new features.

….. And no one gave a kitten . The housing channel is pretty much abandoned, the only thing people use for houses is the huge exp boosts, and just to get to max level of the construction skill.

I tend to think that actually the majority of players really don’t care about housing because they’re too busy doing other things.

Too busy doing what? Non-permanent content this game is based on? True that, sire.

It would be nice to have if it had a waypoint with no fee, bank, all-purpose crafting station, servant-merchant and a servant-trading post.
Otherwise, it would look nice but serve no other purpose except for an occasional party.

I completely disagree.

Personal housing and guild halls are useless. They don’t do much at all.

However instead, I propose player-made Dungeons to replace personal housings. It will be fully customizable like a personal house. You can set up a dungeon to be like your house, but the difference is that it will be a feature that other players can visit in your dungeon and it will mean something.

ANet can take ideas from MQFEL.

I enjoy pve content and RPG games and I can assure you that I could care less about housing.

Personal housing would probably take too many resources to implement at this point, but I really feel the lack of Guild Halls is glaring. GW1 had awesome GHs and I miss them.

I played City of Heroes, which had Super Group Bases, and you could make a SG of one for a personal base. My experience is pretty much the exact opposite of yours.

I’ve seen SG bases made into nightclubs (Black Friday, with multiple bars, two dance floors, and a restaurant), a space ship, a pirate ship, a lost temple, and more. In a personal base, I managed to make a small, four level maze in one of the bigger rooms. Each of these created fun RP settings. Black Friday was a weekly event (though, for some reasons, it was open on Thursdays as I recall, not Fridays), formal clothes only.

A good housing system, group and personal, can do wonders for a game.

don’t care about Guild Halls and GvG at all- but people who do are free to have it.

Just don’t tell me I can’t get my housing because your Halls are more important

On the serious side, housing is not important to me at all. I’d rather have them spend development time on working on actual game rather than Barbie House…
