have you ever said or did something when few sec afterwards you realize you might get banned for this.

I’ve come close on the forums but not in game. I won’t repeat it but I’d wear that infraction like a badge.

Hah! A certain someone is already watching me like a hawk. But, of all the things I discussed here, I never figured a ‘My Little Pony’ reference would land me in hot water. Especially since it was a response to someone else bringing it up. And it wasn’t even an insult. Just my amazed reaction.

As far as in game? No, not ever. Not as far as I know. Most people know my ‘RP’ persona is pretty ridiculous.

That said, I like Zenleto’s thinking. Like a badge, huh? An interesting perspective.

Not really. I know on the forums I can be very…passionate in my opinions, and I sometimes wonder if I say something too harshly or wondering if what I say comes across as a personal insult or criticism, but can’t say I’ve ever felt in danger of getting beaten up with the banhammer.

My bigger fear is not always being clear in what I mean. One time, near the launch of the game there was a discussion of something (I remember what but I’m just being more generalised here) in a map chat, and one of the guys in the argument I was supporting whispered me a bit, and during the exchange he mistook a criticism of what others have and would say as a personal attack against him (my intent was to support him), and I got a pretty impressive even by internet standards barrage of creative language.

I just reported it, which in one hand I regret, but on the other I’m not gonna stand for the insults given. I think perhaps after calming down the player thought they might get warned for what happened, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they did. In that, I think the nearest I’ve seen was where I was the reporter and not the reported.

At the end of the day I really worry almost to an obsessive level if I’m clear in my meaning (and never sure if I am), and usually never give the idea of being suspended for a post or something I say in game a second thought.

I made a suggestion about flushing for lodestones thinking it was OK…after I posted it I realised it’s totally bannable XD

I would feel like this if I was the OP of this thread because discussing bans is not allowed.

If you haven’t gotten a vacation then you haven’t really spoken your mind. If you have seen “Goodfellas” think of when Henry gets arrested and goes to court for the first time.

Rich isn’t discussing bans. He’s asking if we’ve said or done anything we later regretted.

I haven’t done that in Guild Wars 2, but I have in other games … mostly MOBAs xD

this is been hunting me since last night wen i did it, some 1 was selling ac p3 for 2 gold, i joined in with my friend made him kick the 2nd guy and the leader making me the leader ask my friend to leave and then i was selling the path, no 1 joined at the start but wen some 1 did i regret doing it, so i just made it a free path, if it was you from last night and your reading this, im sorry XD

Yeah . . . that’s pretty low. Don’t do it again. And learn from it. It takes a bigger man to know, and admit, when he stumbles and owns up to it.
