I have gotten a fair amount of healing power on my exo gear. It has recently come to my attention that this stat is completely worthless. I trusted the game designers to not have to figure this out by looking it up on the wiki, rather it just seemed like a stat that would complement my build. When is this getting fixed?

Effectiveness of Healing power depends on what class you are, and what you are are doing. Trying to heal your party? That will only going get you so far as this game doesn’t allow for dedicated healing classes, even eles and guardian will have a tough time healing if their allies are not up to par.
Trying to heal yourself? That’s fine if you have other sources of heals other than your #6,
Like alittle bit of healing on a thief and a trait that makes the thief heal in stealth is pretty strong combining with their hide in the shadow skill. I have a guardian that is spec’s pretty high in to healing and toughness, and i tank mostly anything.

But then again, i still need to avoid what i can i not be stupid on how i play.

I’m a guardian and I do all I can to utilize it. Sadly it’s still completely useless. The numbers are just way too low.

I find it works pretty well as a guardian, as long as you use your skills and dodges effectively, should be any problem, Then again, if you were able to avoid it 100% alll the time, then you would need HP, but that goes the same a vitality or toughness. Most people in my guild swear by it with there build.

Elementalists and guardians have a trait that heal using the full healing power on dodge. In the elementalist case, it happens to be the dagger #5 skill, one of 3 non-#6 skills i know that fully utilize healing power.

Warriors vigorous shouts comes close with x0.8.

Sadly all of that comes short when you can amass perhaps 1300 healing power with major HP gear and trait line. While attackers produce single strikes in the 5000-10000 range or higher

Healing power is very strong already. This is not your typical numbers game where your healers numbers simply have to be bigger than the bosses damage numbers. Never facetank bosses, always use evade and blocking.

If used correctly it increases the survival rate of your party by a lot.

Out of curiosity what is the third that uses a 1:1 healing power ratio other than guards and eles? I thought it was only those two.

Edit: or are you referring to water trident on the ele?

oops, i got rangers healing spring mixed in there, and that one is clearly a #6 skill. Likely i managed to get myself confused about healing power ratios and skills that produce water combo fields.
