I wasn’t ever really bothered too much by it until now
Lately in season 3, but especially in chapter 5, we see that hearts make it impossible do events.
EVERY SINGLE DAY you have to do all 4 hearts IF you want to be able to see events on the map. If you don’t do all 4 hearts, you simply will not where and when events are without physically being there.

So I wonder if it’s a bug or a design disaster?

I want to know when a meta event is going! I didn’t rescue enough people? I didn’t kill enough inquest? too bad, no events for you.

Why can I disable events as a setting, but why can’t I disable hearts as a setting..
PLEASE, please, just let me see the events in the new map without having to spend half an hour to do all 4 hearts every day……

Oh. You’re referring to the compass/content guide thing?

yes, I want to be able to find events, not wait for someone to call them out in the map chat, since that rarely happens

I don’t know, I don’t have trouble finding events simply by running around. I never find the compass all that useful, so it feels like it’s working the same as always.

It’s not so much that I can’t find events, I can run around and run into events. But the point is, I feel like a headless chicken running around waiting for an obstacle to run into, I can’t see “hey, there’s an event over there, so I’m going there”, now its “hey, lets run in this direction and maybe I’ll bump into an event”

I’ve not found the Content/Event Guide shows me events unless I am somewhat close to them, anyway.

Still, it might be something the Devs would consider with the new repeatable Renown Hearts mechanic.

There’s always overlays or such from sites like GW2Timer (or whatever it’s called), etc.

Good luck.

I completely forgot the content guide existed. I only ever turned it on if I couldn’t find the last POI when I was completing a map, and then they added the option to just hover over the map completion info to be shown them. So now I never use it.

But I can’t see any reason not to add the option to disable everything except events, since apparently people use it for that reason.

Based on the filtering options currently available, you’d think that this wouldn’t be something that would be too resource intensive to add.

I never run the event locator. I find events as I run around exploring or harvesting stuff.

We’re in agreement. I’m just saying that, for me, it’s not different from any other map in the game.
