hi I onlky have one character that has a lvl 500 teighlor smith will I have to have a level 500 weaponsmith or are there recipies a tieghlor smith can make for weapons?

Tailors can only make light armour, runes and bags.
To make ascended weapons you require either 500 in Artificer, Huntsman or Weaponsmith.

Artificer makes: Staffs, Scepters, Focuses and Tridents
Huntsman makes: Torches, Pistols, Rifles, Longbows, Shortbows and Harpoon Guns
Weaponsmith makes: Daggers, Swords, Axes, Hammers, Greatswords, Maces, Shields and Spears.

So to make an ascended greatsword you require 500 in Weaponsmithing.

They can drop. Very very rarely, and you don’t get to choose the stats you get. Other than that, crafting is the only option for weapons right now.

You can’t buy them, but weapon boxes do drop in fractals among some other spots.
