I am having a hard time deciding on what back skin to use on my new asura warrior. I’m using full vigil armor, and I think a cloak would go perfectly with it, but for now I just have the back item hidden.

1. If anything, it’s more like 50% (or 40%, if you wear a helmet).
2. You can turn the camera to see the full package of how your armor matches with your cape/cloak.

I’ve seen only one armor (so far) that had some type of cape built in – I think it was norn cultural armor – and it was awesome. My Warrior has his Draconic legs, and that’s sort of a half-cape. I understand why ANet doesn’t want to put in capes, but they’ve shown they’re able to integrate some back items made of cloth in a smooth fashion. I also don’t think we need more wings; lots of people running around with the mechanical/holographic ones, which don’t look that out of place.

I have al backpieces and I very often wear none. They’re overrated. They received too much focus already, let them focus on other armor now.

About the only one that even is close to being acceptable is the Holographic Dragon Wings, if they were dyeable. So yes, we need at least one GOOD set of wings. And, this would be the point where I complain about the game having a very narrow artistic vision. Stifling player creativity and overall losing out on QoL.

I’m not opposed to having more wings or capes. If I like it, I like it (as in the case of the Spinal Blades or the Sclerite Karka Shell), and if I don’t like, I won’t wear it, but I don’t care if somebody else wears it. More cosmetic options for players is always a good thing.

Wings, yes. But on my shoes (my Mesmer needs them to run faster). And you can wear them with capes. And the capes can have wings. As well as the backpiece. And the helm, don’t forget the helm.

This. Imagine how cool a dark fractal capacitor with a deep red glow would be. Hell, in addition to dye-able back items, I wish we could dye weapon skins. It’s annoying when I love the look of a skin but it’s colours completely contrast with what I’m going for. Also, being able to choose torch flame colours, etc, would be awesome as well.

Warriors need a F1 Spoiler backpiece so they don’t fly away and stick to the ground when zipping around maps.

Thieves need two.

Yeap, all the cool skins are really widespread. Like, people are sick of blue holo wings because they’re everywhere, matching or not; but if you add 10 more different wings, then suddenly all the same amount of people who want wings get pretty and matching ones, and suddenly wings are no longer a “dominant” eye sore.

Im used to korean mmo’s so wing are accepted we just need more skins, also more backpack skins like capes.

Would be nice to have more a few cape models to, but i imagine capes physics atm would work like the offhand paper scroll when u jump the paper stretch like an elastic ^^.
