how about give all HoT players 50 slot bag
If you play fractals at all, 20 slot bags are basically free. I have them on all my characters. It adds up.
No thank you. Not only is 20 slot bags the maximum to my knowledge, there is no reason to assist players in such a way. Just keep it organized and you’re set.

i never ever seen a 50 slot bag in this game . and think i never will too and far as inventory. goes i keep my 12 tab bank with that stuff iam not using at that time till i need it . and i do not think anet would give us all 20 slot bags even as a Christmas gift . but iam good any how ssooo they can keep them
Player point of view: Not again this useless crap spamming my inventory>.<
Anets point of view: Let’s add another 15 types of bags, increase green sigill rates and give them tons of mats they will never be able to useDDD
It’s pretty hard to complain about your bags overflowing with loot though. It is annoying, but it’s also anet throwing wads of gold at us. I’ve made obscene amounts of gold since HoT.

I dont see how you have, as alot of things, especially exotics, have dropped from 3-4 gold each to around 1-1.5 gold each… blues and greens have taken a good hit too.
Even if a 50 slot bag would exist, why should that be exclusive to the suckers, er i mean, players, who bought HoT? You got tons of junk before HoT too.
A 20 slot account wide bag would be a bit more reasonable, and practical.
Sometimes I lose track of who has the machetes, chak acid and crowbars.

A lot of mat prices have gone through the roof, or at least become worth something.
I like the idea of a 50 slot bag because it would offer the player so much relief from worrying about inventory management (more space means stuff is more easily managed while having to throw away fewer runes and piles of dusts or even silver ore on occasion)
There’s no good reason why they shouldn’t exist so I say why not?
Only change I’d make is make them craftable with bolts of Damask and Elonian leather while requiring two superior runes of holding.
If it makes the lives of players easier, why not? Player satisfaction is sort of important to consider.
I’m all about free stuff…so yes!

There is a good reason. You can use real money for the convenience of extra bag slots and bank tabs, salvage-o-matics, bank express, etc.
We practically had to beg Arenanet for the privilege of not having to buy another character slot to enjoy one of the expansion’s key features. Methinks this won’t happen.

When has THAT ever been part of ANet’s business model?

I’m not saying it is, I just find it weird how players themselves are all “no you need to earn your bags”

That’s not good because there are those of us with maxed bag slots who want more bag space anyway. Problem with salvage-o-matics is you’re spending copper anyway just for basic level salvaging instead of saving copper in the long run by not having to buy a salvage kit ever again. The major problem with salvage kits is if you spend 15s on a rare kit that 15s is deleted, meaning you’re going to have to farm more to make up for the costs so as to avoid loss. That adds up to lots of gold between thousands of players and needing to repeat purchases. If salvage-o-matics costs no copper (you buy them with gems anyway) then you could save lots of gold over the long run.
Also, the 20 slot bags were released during a time when you didn’t have loads of bags and were released before HoT and SW. We need bigger bags to account for the extra inventory space being taken up. Maxing out your bag space + filling all those with 20 slotters made you super secure that you’d never have inventory overflow since you’d vendor long before it filled up even in Orr. Then that security was gone when bloodstone dust and other mats piled into the bags.

You all should see what items I am still holding on to on my main char…..
Will post a screenshot later…… hehehe
I enjoy free things.

Green/Yellow Sigils/Runes are my arch nemesis.

I sold 1 gold worth of green sigils/runes/greens equipment in one week of playing. :P
Coming to the gem store soon, 30 slot bags 1000 gems, followed by 40 slot bags 2000 gems and a special price of only 2500 gems for 50 slots!
If you gave me a 50 slot bag I’d be chuffed and then after about a week it would be full of stuff I really should have sold or discarded.
It’s a bit like adding more bookshelves to a room.
But, hey, a week of reduced inventory management. I’ll take that!
(And, just merch all those minor runes and sigils. )
So much l
junk from HoT.
It’s now called “Inventory Wars”.
It’s only during the last few weeks I have to destroy a lot of stuff, can’t sell it, can’t store it, just useless stuff.

I think anet should do somethign with our inventory DSpace and increase it.
We are essentially still 3 years later after game release running around with freaking “BEGINNER” RUCKSACKS.
Don’t you think too, that Anet has thought something about it to call these things “Beginner” Rucksacks, if they wouldn’t have plans for them to expand and improve them someday, meaning also to expand their funktionalizy and most likely also their maximum inventory space also too ???
I think its about time, that Anet finalyl adds improved Rucksacks into the game with improved funktions.
Example:
Adventurer’s Rucksack
Increases space from 20 to 30 Slots
Inherent activatable/deactivatable Invisibility Option, so the player can manually decide, if those 30 Items in it should be shown or not shown when selling items
Cartographer’s Rucksack
Increases Spaces from 30 to 40 Slots
Inherent Invisibility Function
Inherent Rarity Function (All Items will receive based on their Rarity a visual frame around their Icons)
Inherent Mapping Function: Once your Account owns this Rucksack, you explore also for your Account, so everythign you explore, will be explored and mapped for all of your Characters. Alts will receive Map Boni the next time you enter with them the explored Maps from which you haven’t received the Map Boni yet.
Heroic Rucksack
Increases Space from 40 to 50 Slots
Inherent Invisibility Function
Inherent Rarity Function
Inherent Mapping Function
Inherent Hero Point Sharing for the Account. Gained Hero Points will be gained for all your Characters.
Commander’s Rucksack
Increases the Space from 50 to 60 Slots
Merged the Rucksack with all your 20 Slot Bags (works only with them), so that your current maxed out Inventory becomes all one.
Inherating the Sortation Functions for either specific Rarities (Fine, Masterwork,Rare/Exotic/Ascended) Items to be shown first on top.
Means, it will have the total Space of the Rucksack + all your Bags in one, allowing you to put new Bags in the slots for even more increased Inventory Space
Inherent Invisibility Function
Inherent Rarity Function
Inherent Mapping Function
Inherent Hero Point Share Function
Inherent Compass Function guiding you always to places/POIs/Panoramas/WPs, that you haven’t discovered yet with Guide Lines, once you have locked on the target you want to discover
Marshall’s Rucksack
Increases Space from 60 to final 75
Merged Inventory Space from the first Set of Bags allowing to use a second Set of Bags
Inherent Sortation Function
Inherent Invisibility Function
Inherent Rarity Function
Inherent Mapping Function
Inherent Hero Point Share Function
Inherent Compass Function
Inherent Quick Use Slot Function allowing you to put up to 5 Items into so said Quick Slots that will be shown in your Combat UI to use assigned Items in them instantly by double click on the UI Button, without having to open the Inventory for that.
Thats I think what ANet should do with Rucksacks to significantly improve the game as part of a Quality of Life Improvement and to remove some unneccessary grind from the game.
Hey I had an idea. Why not give all HoT owners, a single 50 slot bag to go into one of our bag slots?

I’d just like to see the scribe stuff & other new crafting mats going into the storage when I click “Deposit All” :-/

Why do you need Compass function, if you already have Mapping function? If you mean for brand new maps no character has been on, what would you ever explore?
Sounds a bit boring to me, but I guess some would like it.
Because i waited to buy a physical copy of hot i didnt get a character slot to make a revenant.Thats their way to show you how much they respect their customers.Dont expect to give you for free something they can sell in their gem store for more money.

Or they could add those to the wallet so that every char can access them when needed.
Hey I had an idea. Why not give all HoT owners, a single 50 slot bag to go into one of our bag slots?
This could help with the lack of inventory.
Of course +30 slots in the inventory would be welcomed by everyone. Unfortunately, it won’t solve the underlying issue. Most people don’t have a lack-of-space problem; they have a hoarding problem. That is, the issue is that they don’t manage their inventory in the first place — adding more slots or bigger bags alleviates the issue temporarily, until they hoard more stuff and again run out of space.
That said, HoT owners do have a different sort of problem: the huge number of per-map keys or collection items that must be brought to specific locations. It’s bad enough for people with a single “main” character; it’s horribly tedious to manage for those who play multiple characters.
Therefore, I’d much prefer ANet to work on a new mechanic to help alleviate this, rather than adding more space.

lol! There’s no way they’d give bigger bags to anyone for free. If they introduced them, they’d either be in the cash shop or a “legendary journey” that was a huge materials and time sink.

1.It wouldn’t be free but rather be packaged with the game.
2.I think they should be here but not “given” but rather manufactured like other bags. A sample recipe could be as follows:
2 Superior runes of holding
2 Elonian leather squares
1.Bolt of Damask

They can’t even give a free character slot with the base xpac unless it was a pre-purchase.
Why not just give all players a set of legendary armor? Why stop at a 50 slot bag?
Why not just give all players a set of legendary armor? Why stop at a 50 slot bag?
I just thought about something: even with the smaller UI elements due to me using 4k (it’s really a godsend at 1080p the UI felt so claustrophobic and cramped) I can see comfortably with my inventory open with a bunch of 18 slot bags. If they were filled with 50 slot bags however they’d cover so much of my screen. I think 25 slot bags would be reasonable for the next tier while a 50 slot bag should replace the starter bag after completing a collection quest and gathering the proper resources.
Like I said the highest tier has been 20 slots since launch and the game in those days didn’t have loads of bloodstone dust and dragonite ore eating away at inventory slots so increased bag space should help accommodate that.
To answer the above question because no one can see your bag space whereas legendary armor is supposed to be a QoL and prestige item. It’s basically ascended with swappable stats and (hopefully) kewl particle effects. Since ascended tier stats are the highest it effects gameplay in a way that should be earned. I’m not for “free” bags but understand they can’t be compared to armor since armor has stats that effect gameplay and looks that communicate you’ve done certain things whereas bigger bags just offer more convenience.
