I’m utterly shocked. Two years since the game was released and someone finally brings up the idea about mounts. About time!

There was a suggestion on the reddit a few weeks ago to have a party option for Asura to ride on the back of a Charr. It wouldn’t give any movement speed bonus, but it would be really funny. They should make that a thing.

Without any speed bonus, I guess every mount would be possible. Having choice for Horses (maybe Black, Brown, Beige, Grey and White) would be really fantastic.

The races of Tyria are too dumb to use any other species on the planet as mounts.

They are also too dumb to use all the vehicles created by the Charr to use as mounts.

Walking it is. Especially in unexplored areas, walking is the way to go. Kitten, there are even aircrafts, but you know, we walk. Makes sense, who would want to fly anyway…

Well given the amount of times my characters have fallen off of cliffs and such I’d wager they’re all pretty scared of heights now so I can’t really blame them for not wanting to fly :-P

• We already have cosmetic mounts: broom, carpet, sonic device. We already have a minor speed “mount”: the Dry Top kites.

That argument should’ve been in the pro side. It is there to show that mounts can work in the game.

Really, the points of Anti-mounts have been:

It is against the moral principles of all Civialized peoples to humiliate one of Tyria’s creatures by burdening them to carry another living soul.

It is possible that is why there are no Living Mounts in the world.

While you may or may not agree with those points, they are the same points brought up in almost every mount thread. Which was the whole point behind that thread. The Author lays out the common arguments for and against.

Cosmetics.

Can’t help but wonder why a game that is so focused on cosmetics wouldn’t have the ultimate cosmetic that is a bonus-less mount? Just an interesting thought . .

The game already has cosmetic “mounts” in the form of brooms and carpets. The problem is that most of mount proposers don’t want bonusless mounts. They do want mounts with bonuses. And that’s the point where stones, torches and pitchforks start being passed around.

Are we REALLY doing this AGAIN!? ROFLMFAO!

oh!!! well.. look.. this idea can give them extra earning right and extra style for players.. the point is you have ur knight or character full gear.. and just walking or running? it’s the epicness, the style XD but hopefully gw2 makers will think bout this idea…
