currently, if you hold down control and left-click something, it targets them.
there doesn’t seem to be a setting to disable this, or am I blind?

Target something else you are passing is your best option.

You can remove personal wps, but I don’t believe you’re able to remove targets.

Kill what ever you target and it goes away.

the problem is holding control also toggles enemy and neutral names (such as gathering nodes or items you need to pick up to complete events), so you’ll be holding it down to look for those, moving your vision around holding left-click, reposition your hand, end up targeting a random moa.

Perhaps, use the in-game setting that automatically shows all neutral names, instead?

You can also click on anything targetable and press CTRL-T to set target on it even if your mouse is no longer anywhere near it.

But yes, unless it wrecks your immersion to see yellow names when you’re not actively seeking them, the QoL of toggling those to always be on via the Options menu is astounding.

darn, was hoping it was just hidden under an unexpected name or something. sounds like you guys don’t know how to, so I assume not currently possible. thanks anyways

you dont need to hold ctrl for anything if you just enable in the options that all object & enemy names are always shown by default

^^^ Show usable objects, it’s a check mark on the first options screen, about midway down iirc, that option covers, nodes, chests, wvw seige, etc.
