is Mike O'Brien still ANet’s president?
It’s an optional dungeon and added gear tier. Don’t do it if it bothers you .
No sarcasm at all, just want to know if he still has the power to take decisions since the more comes out from this patch, the more I find GW2 far away from what has been told in theese 5 years of developement and from what the game was before this patch.
Also since he put his face in the manifesto (and blogs and etc…) I find it odd that he doesn’t comment the situation in any way.

it’s not the dungeon nor the ascended gear.
it’s the concept, the idea behind all theese changes.
Unfortunately i cannot explain everything well cause english is not my native language, but many other players have already pointed out where all this situation will lead, and it’s far away from what GW2 was supposed to be.
I’m more worried if they have a plan, and what that is after having scrapped and torn out the manifesto and core value of this game…..
What that you need to work to get something ? You need to grind just like you need to grind to get legendaries? Right
And what should i do now? Play other dungeons that are still bugged and now even less players do them? Playing in zones that have 5-10 players on them? This has really destroyed the game

I think most people will agree that the new dungeon is one of the best they’ve seen. I think its a fantastic creation, and I give the development team all the credit in the world for it.
The problem people have is the ascended gear treadmill that will ensue, and the fractal level player-gated mechanism. Eventually, low lvl fractal players wont be able to experience it. It is not because they are casual, it is because they do not have 10+ hours a day to devote to the game. If time spent = hardcore level, then most of us would be hardcore because we’ve already sunk hundreds of hours into GW2.
Casual <> noob. The casuals have every right to experience the dungeon just as the hardcores.
