With the new boosted lvl 80 toons can you even fully learn your elite specializations it seems to me with only 189 hero points on the map, and you not getting any more from lvls it would seem to me that you can’t I just might be missing something

No, you have to run the hero points to learn your elite spec. You need 250 hero points to fully unlock it, but keep in mind the HoT ones count as 10 hero points.

How is it different from using tomes to get to 80, like I did with my Revenant in the starter instance? There are the core Hero points worth one point each and the Hot Hero points worth 10 points each. You can do 25 HoT hero points and you’ve got it.

You have 189 in the original core map, 11 in SW&DT, 13 in WvW and 400 in HoT maps.
