Just wondering if there is anything else I should buy before prices skyrocket. If I had more foresight I would have stocked up on Superior Sigil of Impact as they are rising in price fast. Is there anything else I could buy cheap to save some Gold in the long run?

We have no idea how things will change with the patch, so speculating about which items might and might not be good to buy is probably quite pointless.

Why post then. Obviously some things are known already otherwise those sigil wouldn’t have increased so much in 24 hours. I knew it was a mistake posting here, I’ll take it to the reddit

What people are buying usually goes down to gut feeling, hoping they’d make a profit, or buy the right items before they skyrocket

Some people might have found out a few details that would help them with the choice of which runes/sigils would be good to get during the demo at pax, but again, I repeat, it’s down to speculation, instinct, and guessing

OP has a point. He’s not asking what anyone’s opinion on speculating as a concept, but on actually speculating. Cue some bafflingly dense replies and no wonder he’s scared off.

Apart from the sigil of impact, sigil of paralysation might be something people might try out, so they might actually go up to crafting value as well.

Also Melandru runes might see some more popularity as they provide counters to condis in general, stuns and give you extra vit/tough. As they cant be crafted and only salvaged or forged, there isnt really a price ceiling for them as with the two sigils, whose mats are available at a pretty stable price.

If you play wvw alot, you might want to stock up on roasted lotus root and saffron bread.

And anything boon-duration-related might become more interesting as well.
