Guild Wars 2

With the summer update coming in the future I thought that its the perfect time to talk about one of GW2 popular character Job-o-tron/hobo-tron/ho-ho-tron/heal-o-tron/hero-tron (hopefully this will be his last name).

Hero-tron was originally supposed to be a minor character but because of his popularity he gained an arc of its own throughout Season 1 of the living story, I would say he is as popular as Canach (now that I think about it their stories share many similarities).

Sadly Hobo-tron was not featured in Season 2 (though he had small scene in destroyed LA at the release of the last chapter) but was instead shown through merchandising (replica job-o-tron backpack and job-r-tron gathering tools). Who knows where we might see this golem end up in the future. Personally he is one of my fav characters (I genuinely could argue why he is one of the “best” characters) and really hope to see him return.

While talking to a friend about merchandising Heal-o-tron as a joke he told me “that would be a pretty neat idea”. Obviously Hero-tron’s uniqueness in his items is that they talk or make sounds (backpack and gathering tools talk and mini Ho-ho-tron has his bell sound) I personally dont mind the chatter, but I can see the annoyance.

So if Anet plans on merchandising job-tron….welp here some ideas/suggestions that I came up with:

items that are extremely likely to be sold

*Mini, mini job-o-tron/hero-tron (no quotes, I dont there is a single mini that utters actual dialogue…..and honestly dont want to, if anything let the mini o-tron do typing animation from time to time)

*Glider, Gilde-r-tron. (already suggested on other threads and people have a pretty good idea on quotes, post them if you want)

items that could be sold

*Helm skin, Hat-r-tron. (thought of this and “easy” route would be a fuzzy hat, but “my vision” saw the upper part of o-Tron’s body with his “arms” included OR just the body fully covering the players face XD)

*Mail Carrier, Mail-r-tron. (the one quote I can think is “Mail-delivered”)

finally unlikely items

*job-o-tron weapon set. (Yuri Lowenthai makes the weapon sound effect XD)

*Travel toy, ride-r-tron. (plz Anet?)

Also he could work as a Merc or “Hero”. Add him to the party to supply buffs or CC, healing even. It would be real handy. He could take the moniker of "kitten-o-Tron.

I was actually gonna put in the extremely unlikely items an infinite revive orb "replica heal-o-tron that says “Dont-worry. I-am-a-certified-medic” or “replica-heal-o-tron-to-the-rescue!” buuuuuut if Anet were to do that then that item would essentially be pay2win, then that category is a joke (hence the name extremely unlikely…….would be surprise if we get something though XD)

And as silly as your idea is, I would love to have a regular golem assistant/o-tron model following me and aiding in battle
