You can download GW2 right now, and it will be getting updated along the way prior to release (Sept 22). That has already begun, actually.
Has anyone else noticed a “no mount zone”?
The expansion will be automatically be part of everyone’s game clients and it will be added as regular game updates. The first part you already downloaded with yesterdays big patch. Of course, you will need to have bought the expansion to actually play it once it is released.
