and was wondering what is a good server to go too for pvp/pve mostly speaking for pvp…I like pve, but only a little bit :P I prefer pvp much more if I had to choose ? (:
it says that if I choose a server that I will be locked there and can’t change homes? I’m not sure what that means
can someone explain about that part? is it like if I want to switch servers I can’t, unless I pay a transfer?
Any server is good for PvP, WvW, PvE. Choose any, though here’s shameless plug for Borlis Pass. We usually do very well in WvW.
Also, you will be able to level 1-80 doing purely PvP, as you will be scaled to 80 in the Mists.
And yes, once you choose a server you are locked to it unless you are willing to pay for the server transfer. I doubt you’ll ever need to unless you have friends IRL on other servers, which in that case you should just join their server to begin with.
You can transfer to any server, at a cost in Gems, or without cost if you have no characters on your account.
You can buy Gems with cash, or exchange in-game Gold for Gems using the Trading Post/Gem Store.
It makes no difference which server you choose (for the most part) for PvE or PvP, as players from all the servers in a region will be grouped together (more or less). The only time server is very important is for WvW.
