why people want this weapon for ~2/3 gold? if u can simply buy same stuff with better stats from WvW manager? its beyond me even cheaper swords on AH with same damage output atleast..

can someone explain me why people even want this sword?

They don’t want the sword, they want the sigil. It’s cheaper to buy the sword and salvage it with a black lion salvage kit than it is to buy the sigil on its own.

1) the skin
2) the superior sigil of bloodlust on it sells for approximately the same price. So if you buy and salvage it with a black lion kit, you’ll get your gold back and get a skin, essentially for free.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

Sword cost 2~3g
After salvage with BLSK you get
Sigil: ~3.5g
Ectos: ~40s each (up to 3 of those)
Some Ori/Mithril
A skin if you are doing for the 1st time
Glob of Dark matter

Charter Vanguard [CV] – HoD
Bardy Belzebuson – Ranger Sir Belzebu – Herald
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)

Don’t forget that the cheaper WvW option can’t be salvaged, so any sigils you stick in there are essentially lost if you ever want to transfer them to something else.

and also on top of what everyone’s said, keep in mind that just because you see the lowest seller price is high doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s being purchased. If you ever get a chance, hit up a trading post site and check out some of the graphs they have. An item that seems like it’s listed as being a little high could sit there for weeks, months, or even longer and not be bought. Hell, scroll to the bottom of the Seller list. the highest is usually an obscene amount of gold and chances are, it’ll never ever sell.
