Why is this ok? was doing a LOW LEVEL fractal, most of the people in the party didn’t even know how to do the dungeon properly and I explained it to them, slowly got through like 3 and then I was kicked randomly. So I just wasted about an hour trying to do my daily fractal and got absolutely nothing out of it. explain to me how this is enjoyable and why anyone would want to continue playing this game if this is what happens?

stop talking. That’s the best way.

I was doing the cliff side fractal, and I keep telling people to stop ranging because the boss cast reflect when he have a protection sign up. One of the guy dont’ listen and just says well if everyone is out of range no one will get hit.

Is he right? ya probably. But if he can just stop ranging other people won’t die, he wont’ do damage anyway when the boss hit reflect, but he keep doing it.

Do I keep arguing with him? No. It dont’ help anyone, he made up his mind that he’ll continue doing it.

I can’t remember the last time I got kicked from dungeon or fractal. And I do it daily in pug. Stop arguing people is the best way not to get kick.

You can solo the daily fractal if you do a low level 1. My wife and I sometimes two man one.

Some Fractals can be solo’d, some inherently can’t. Swamp/Dredge fractals offhand, need a minimum of 3 players.

I never said otherwise. I’m just saying it can be done. Doesn’t mean every fractal can be soloed.

Actually swamp is soloable with a Thief, although it’s not easy to do so.

Anyway, now you can see the names of the people in your party when you are kicked, so you can:

Ask them why you got kicked
Write their names so you know them, or even block them

When you join a pug run be sure to keep quiet, never argue with them. Even more so if they are from the same guild. Sometimes guild members keep randoms to invite their friends at the last fractal.

Maintain a positive attitude and do not sound rude with guild runs. The best advice you can give right here.

The problem is that there is no universal method guaranteed to offend nobody.

Don’t talk: minds his own business or failure to communicate/doesn’t speak English?
Tries to explain mechanics: helpful or rude + bossy?
Tries to correct something wrong/suboptimal: helpful or rude + elitist?

What is the point I’m trying to make? Some of these posts veer dangerously close to victim blaming, and tend to ignore or overlook the bigger picture:

1.) Offense is taken, not given (no, I don’t want your victim/privilege ad hominems here)

2.) At least some of these situations are a result of mis-perceived intent, often the result of sub-par social/communication skills or an initial coldness toward strangers.

3.) The overwhelming attitude in this thread/community, that the optimal behavior in a party is to try not to be kicked, rather than trying to be as helpful as possible (seen as detrimental by quite a few here), is not something healthy for this game.

Content in this game will always seem
to be faceroll at the high levels, because it
needs to be accessible to the casuals and bads.

i just tried to run lvl 10 just for kicks (i usually run only 40 and 50 daily), it was asura end boss, and LB ranger kicked charr warrior for not being able to jump across that harpy mini jumping puzzle to the boss (he would jump through eventually, patience is a virtue) then started the boss whit only two of us near the boss, when i asked what the hell and why? he typed: to end this torment XD then i said: you are rude. then, loading screen.

ranger love.

The only fractal that can’t be solo’d is dredge.

Back on topic, i’ve done more fractals than I can count and I have never once been kicked OR seen someone get kicked for no reason. If this happens to you often, I would really start to wonder if you are using a lot on inflammatory language directed at your party. There are many “know-it-alls” in any game, they usually complain about anything that goes wrong. Oddly enough, they usually are the worst player on the team… Dying constantly, complaining about other people dying, and blaming everything on everyone else. I’m not accusing you at all, but maybe you are doing these things without thinking about it?

I had similiar experience, though not exclusive in fractal.
Here are some of my thoughts:
1. Be considerate when you join 4 members in a same guild group. I was kicked in cm p1 once when the group was at the final boss at 50% health. They are just trolling for not letting you to get the reward.

Also got kicked in ac p2 once in a group with 4 members in the same guild, one member with 11k ap, one with 7k ap, one with only 2k ap. I thought they are in the same guild the experienced one probably telling the non exp one how to play on TS, so I kept my mouth shut. In the spike trap room, exp members and I stacked at a corner and let the non exp player pull the trigger on top, but non exp player was on the wrong one and his guild members somehow didn’t tell him where to stand. So I went up the the correct trap trigger, and showed them how would this trap work with the position they stack at, and ask non exp player to stack, thinking his guild members would cover his kitten . The exp player then telling me to stack and let non exp player to pull the trigger since I have higher dps. I said fine, we finished the room quickly.

Until the group was at the final boss, where we need to set up traps for ghost eater. I suggested 2 traps since there was non exp player in the group and dps was low. The exp player in the group started yelling that he has legendary weapon he knows what to do. So I suck it up and didn’t argue with him since I already spend 30 minutes on this dungeon and it was almost toward the end. I said fine, tell me what to do, one, I didn’t want to argue, second, I wanted to see if he really know what to do. The group set one trap, failed, everyone started to run around in chaos, instead of running to second trap and preceed to set it up. I didn’t say it because legendary wielder told me to shut up. Some died in the process and i tried to stay alive because I figure they probably wont res me or will blame my death for their failure. They start to res each other and one of their member was still attacking while ghost eater was in ghost form. They took too long and the game reset, ghost eater health went back in full. They kicked me.

Luckly the next group I joined everyone was exp and finished ac p2 in 10 minutes. So really, it is wasting time to show courtesy and helping players. Nowaday I don’t join 4 guild member group and I don’t talk in dungeons. If I sense that this group would fail, I simply quit and find another group.

2. If you see some one request to kick some one, don’t second it if there is nothing wrong. Some people are so bossy they start to rampage towards anyone who didn’t exactly what he wants, maybe the boss was killed few seconds slower, maybe an obstacle was failed once, they start to kick everyone. If you second it, you will be the next one on the list.
