I paid for a world transfer prior to the free transfers other folks got. I moved from a low pop to a high pop server hated the new serve and was prohibited by the 7 day rule to go back. However in the mean time Anet allowed free transfers, which in turn changed my low pop server to a high pop server so no free or even lower cost return. I wish they would have locked the free servers down. 1800 gems is a lot. Feel more than a little upset with the whole way that went down as the Aussies bailed from EU to come to the American servers which are all now very high pop. I wouldn’t have changed at all but I belong to small guild and I account for at least 33% of the influence gained that was a huge cut for them. Buyers beware.

I feel for you. The only thing that surprises me is why Australians would be on EU servers in the first place. I say this as an Australian.

From almost the very beginning, the unofficial Oceanic server has been Sea of Sorrows. Even before launch the forums were talking about it.

Sucks that it happened though.

They added guesting so you can try out the server before you go. The only thing you can’t do is WvW.

I am guessing that it was Aussies maybe from a different high pop server but ALL American servers are now setting at very full. I was going for world completion and needed WvWvW eternal and other teams home world. Like I said live and learn. Never again. Either way guesting would not have worked. Plus as a tier 8 server what are the chances of getting eternal a few sites but never the whole map. That was until the free transfers then tons imported in not for WvW either.

Well the above comment explains why that wouldn’t work, but hey now i know and will never make that mistake again.
