Guild Wars 2

gw2 was released clearly rushed, can we get the game to a point where it stands solid instead of trying to milk the playerbase with more gemstore crap?

And interfere with their excellent business model? lolno. We can only wait and see what direction the game goes in. I wouldn’t be surprised if most of the gem store profit is put into wildstar development and gw2 is left in its current state with more temporary content being shoved at us. Some people that have quit said they’ll come back in a year and see if things get better…so wait another year I guess. Play once a week and try to enjoy the time you spend playing it. It’s not worth your sanity to keep wanting stuff from a company that’s main concern is making money.

I do find myself in agreement with this if the rumors are true that NCSoft gets 100 percent of gem store royalties. That would mean that NCSoft is essentially siphoning the funding for this game and holding it for ransom, meanwhile they are funneling it to a game that they want to be better than Guild Wars 2. It would be a sad sight to behold as an Anet employee if that previously mentioned scenario is true. I would wonder who was behind negotiations of that deal, that has proven to be quite the shafting.

The game’s not broken, but the business model NCsoft put out is ridiculous in the gemstore. Utterly dumb, it will make them good money, but losing the faith of your playerbase is worse. Too bad Anet doesn’t control the gemstore themselves. (don’t get me wrong though, this game is awesome. NCsoft isn’t.)

And that the thing you come out here calling Anet foolish as if they cant think beyond a week or month and your argument lacks all forums of logic. (The put things out fast to make money fast so they can lost ppl and lost money in the long run that why they put 4 years + into making the game) THAT IS YOUR LOGIC.

You do know that ArenaNet technically don’t have any money of their own, right? Since they are fully owned by NCSoft all the money is from NCSoft and all the income goes to NCSoft. This has been the case since before the release of ArenaNets first game (Guild Wars Prophecies).

Another thing you have to keep in mind is that the only reason we even have GW2 is that NCSoft have pushed in money made from their other games in order to fund the creation of GW2.
