Guild Wars 2

Hi all,

Something today came up and just kind of made me realize it all. A year or a bit more than that, I used to load into maps in this game really fast, took maybe a couple seconds max… I run this game on my SSD.

Nowadays I am taking an upwards of 10 or even closer to 20 seconds to load into a map or while switching characters etc. Is there something I can do to fix this? It’s really quite a ridiculous load time, and doesn’t even have a % bar like it used to, just a random spinning circle, and I am wondering if i screwed up my settings at some point because this game is loading horribly now. any help would be appreciated thanks.

Not that I’ve noticed. Has felt faster actually. Maybe your ISP is breaking human rights by throttling or something.

Not sure…. its significantly longer now, i dont think its my isp. I used to load within 2-3 seconds tops. This was awhile back though, but I just thought id ask about it today.

If you want an indicator for how long loading takes/will take, you can add the command line argument (instructions found by accessing the Wiki link above), -maploadinfo
