Let’s say I am on a server where I am just not happy with the PvE participation because for practical purposes I am the only player on that server (you know which servers I mean!)

What’s to prevent me from just permanently guest on a high population server while I laugh all the way to the bank soloing all the WvW maps and grabbing all the WvW badges on all my alts completely unopposed?

That’s exactly my point, I will be in WvW on my home server and PvE on the guested server.

If I go to a Tier 7/8 server I can karma train and badge farm all day in WvW and I can still hang in PvE on a server where the relevant temples are always open, and where I can get a dungeon group in LA as soon as I post something in map chat.

None of this is affected by whether my selected destination server is full.

This basically results in a further desertion of the low population servers, may as well just servermerge them now while everyone is busy kittening about the transfermania.

The only flaw in the ointment is if you have a guild you want to contribute to/get bonuses from, as all your influence and bonuses will be based on your home server, not the server you’re guesting on.

But as long as you (and your guild) don’t mind that you’re not adding influence on their home, and you don’t mind not getting the guild bonuses, there’s no other downside I can see.
