Is it just me or do other people seem to have really bad luck in this game for loot drop? Example 1: I made 70 rares (lvl 80) used 25 black lion salvage kits and the rest i used the yellow ones, got 49 ectos.
Example 2: farming sparks in CS for 4 hours with every MF buff/booster and full armor and trinket MF and was in a group of 5, i got none and everyone else got roughly 1-2 an hour plus 1-2 rares, I got 1 rare..
Example 3: did CS karma and loot train and got 3 rares with same MF in 6 hours of farming.

And its been like this the entire game, i have almost 800 hours and half is probably CS farming and same results.

Is it just me or do other people seem to be cursed as well?

Salvaging rares NEVER works. You will likely not make any money most of the time, especially if you salvage many (some lucky people might get 9 ectos from 3 rares).

The probably of getting a rare from a mob is so low that it’s likely you will see such events as you describe, that’s normal too.

To answer your question, yes, some people have bad luck with drops/salvage/anything to do with randomness, and in some cases much worse luck than yours.
