Guild Wars 2

Hi, I just restarted my client and it started updating.
I dont see any announcement or post anywhere on the internet so that’s why I came here to ask. 12K+ files overall and 1700mb downloaded so far so seems like a pretty major update. Can someone confirm this?

Hmm, I’m in europe and I didn’t get an update (yet). When was the last time you logged into Gw2? Maybe you’re downloading the wintersday-update from mid december?

Yep, no updated files here either.

I log in everyday :/ Weird, all I did was overclock my cpu, open the game to test, close game and start again. Not first time I overclock since I play gw2, only thing different is yesterday I started using MSI on-screen display server (from MSI afterburner) and HWiNFO64 overlay to read cpu, gpu and ram usage while I play. But how can that affect .dat file??

It simply downloaded what it had to.

lol, I think I know what I did: I changed the audio language in settings (to try it out) before restarting client. -_- Just so others know: if you dont want to redownload 2.8 gigs of files, dont do that.

Well there is your problem.

Sound files are HUGE and if you go selecting a different language it has to add those files, for every npc in the game, to get stuck in a loop moaning, I mean “yawning” in DR for hours on end.

I should change mine to French or something – give the cities some new flavor…
