so i love the megaserver, i hated the empty worlds and now i have a reason to go EVERYWEHRE, this was a fabulous update and i hope it gets spread everywhere, BUT….

its so annoying to listen to all the sound effects of other players, im sick of a mesmer with that boon giving signent saying something like PROTECTED every 8 seconds.

or to hear the grunts and groans of an asura dancing (why do we even make verbal noises when we dance its horrible)

but the absolute worst of all is sitting at a bank looking through my stuff and hearing the banker talk to kitten ear every new layer that walks up and talks to her

so my question is this, can we PLEASE remove some of the redundant sounds from the game

-i dont want to hear merchants and bankers verbally respond to me just bcuz i walked up to them and talked to them (this one is MOST important)
-i dont want to hear ppl dancing (why was this even added)
- i dont want to hear ppl get boons and stuff (atleast outside of combat)

please do this anet its a small fix to a really annoying enviornment

ronah please dont pretend that a desire for “realism” is justifacation for your trolling

and no in real life people saying the same thing over and over and over gets them a quick knock to the nose if im around (and if i think nobody important is watching) but i digress….

I think you can toggle those sound effects on/off. I don’t really noticed it, because I play mostly with my gw2 sounds off because I mostly listen to my music whenever I play.

Check your audio settings mate. There should be a slider for Dialog Volume. Turn that down and you won´t hear NPCs and Players saying anything. This might help with your problem, unless you´re going through the PS again, then you may have to turn it up again with every cutscene :P
