mining
I imagine you are running into the respawn timer.
Not sure how long it is on regular nodes, seems to be every few hours for me on Mithril ore. Rare ore like Orichalcum is on a 24hr respawn I believe.
Found it:
Respawn rate
Most nodes respawn on the same map in a few hours, sometimes as little as one hour, with the following exceptions:
Rich metal veins: approximately 23 hours.
Node farms: approximately 23 hours.
Orichalcum Ore & Ancient Saplings: at midnight UTC (4 pm PST), i.e. once per day
Note that resets are per-character and not per-account. In addition, the physical location of nodes will change after a server reset or game update.
am not talking about respawn timer, am talking about mining nodes that i know i havent mined. but i see others that can mine them. but not me. and last night i got chunk in between when i mined mithril ore, i even used the most expensive pick.
but thx karizee for trying to help, am thankful:) gone logg on a little later and try again:)
There is DR on gathering. If you have mined too much, for example, mithril, eventually all nearby mithril nodes will vanish.

I am pretty sure this is not true.
i dont understand why the DR should affect me, am not goldseller or a bot. am a normal player. and i havent mined so much that they need to take all the nodes away from me.

Run around a zone specifically going for nodes. If you’ve ran through most of the zone and find a spot that contains something like 1 rich node and 2 nearby regular nodes, while gathering the rich one, the other 2 will dissapear.
The DR seems to be based on number of gathers (a regular node being 3), since the DR can kick in while gathering, which will cause the node you’re currently on to dissapear. All nodes within a certain area will be gone when it happens. I’m not sure what the size of the area is, but nodes at the other end of the map will still be available. Nodes affected by DR seem to have a 24 hour lockout, which normally would reset every hour. There are also some regular mithril nodes in the game which by default reset every 24 hours (or maybe at the daily reset).
I encounter the DR after about 1-3 hours of playing normally, doing any nearby events, while gathering everything through the entire zone. Also note that the DR only affects the zone you were gathering in, so if you switch zones or don’t gather a lot, you’ll probably never encounter it.
Back when DR was first implemented, it was actually very easy to hit gathering DR. I’m sure you can still find the threads about it. All you really had to do was gather a rich node and a few others within a small timeframe.
I have literally never seen a node disappear and I gather stuff all the time.
I’ve only seen it happen with mithril, but I’ve never bothered to watch trees. I havn’t zone-clear gathered outside of Frostgorge and Orr, so I can’t say if it’s just mithril or all mines.
If you want an idea of how much it takes, I can probably gather around 200 mithril ore before it happens, which means I’ve gathered respawns multiple times, which may have something to do with it (maybe a maximum gather limit per area).
This is weird are your dailies ok can you complete them and are they the same as every one else’s. It’s apparent that if your bios clock is set wrong, this effects the game you could have the clock set to the wrong day or year that its effecting the mining nods.
put the correct term in but not everyone has kittens
The ingame clock is set on local time, and its displaying the right time. i live in norway so over here the time is 23.32-i think we are 1 houer a head okitten. and the dayli is completed. had to kill 25 monsters in water and gather 10 materials and heal 10 i think. and some other stuff i dont remember.

I had it happen daily when I was doing a lot of mining.

Really? I still sometimes do ore runs, and this never, ever happened to me. You sure you weren’t mining during the time when the ores reset? They change locations at specific times.

Go to Southsun Cove and start collecting passiflora nodes. Make sure you collect more than 10 nodes. Go to a different map and return to Southsun after a few hours. Now all nodes should be back. If you start to gather them again, after you get your 15th node all other passiflora nodes will disappear. Is easy to notice because the passiflora nodes are usually close to each other.

Nodes only change locations when a zone is initialized, which normally only happens when the server is reset.
